Hi On my XP box at home in the Date and Time properties I have 3 tabs Date & Time >>>> Time Zone >>> Internet Time Now I believe that if you add a XP pc to a Domain that you lose the Internet Time Tab ? But I have a Windows 2000 SP4 Pc that is a stand alone and I cannot fine the internet Time Tab... any idaes where it could be ?

Well basically I think it is disgusting the way the BSF is destroying the IT Support community in the Schools.. We are a integral part of the running of the school and not just as network support but for ideas and advice we give the staff.. So I say we should rise up and burn the BSF at the stake

Then the students do a denial of service by constantly using the chat a thousand times.. Is there anyway of getting this off ?

Sorry mate.. I have been through what you are going through... so good luck It sounds very much like double-speak to me. On one hand they say it won't be fully managed but the school would have to buy from a short list of suppliers (where is FMSIS in this?) but on the other they are saying you would become employees of the company - ie. managed. What they need to answer really is whether changes to the systems would have to be green stamped by them or not. So, rather than you being asked by staff and then going and doing it, would it have to go up to your new managers first? I think the consultant was using double speak so as not to totally freak out the ICT Staff.. or very vauge with the truth...

He means that you can put what you want in the document but if you get it is doubtful..

There is no customer loyality with Virgin... I was very happy with Telewest.... then it all went wrong and we were handed to Virgin.. What did they do.. put my bill up to £18 per month for a2 mb line.. When I spoke to them saying I had been paying £14 pm they didn't care... when I said that other providors respect their customers and put thier bandwidth up evey year without the cost going up and here they did the opposite .. they told me to go then.. So I did and took up the sky 16mb for £10pm..

you do not need a proper serial.. you can get a trail version of server 2003 for 120 days

It's not just a road... its 2 blocks of 3 floor flats and a couple of houses in the way as well.. :-( All we want to run in the new building is about 5 PC's

Started loading it but it asks for too much... We always used local profiles and not this is forcing us to use roaming profiles..

We have just aquired a building approx 600m from the main site.. the new building is not on the grounds but across the road.. What would the best, easiest and cheapest way of linking the buiding to the School Network.. There is no line of sight..

yea... we have an oldish Ascom Exchange and it cannot be linked to a VOIP.. so we are waiting for it to die before spending 10 to 15 grand on a new VOIP system with Digital Handsets..

Well seeing as it's the main file server thats the killer.. What freaks me out now is that I disconnect the server from the entire network and it says there is still a conflict ?!?! How can that be when it's connected to nothing .. LOL..

We have serious issues with Capita Support.. You can never get past the first line drones... They take down your problem and then a cpouple of hours later you get an email solution that most times has nothing really to do with the problem.. Then you phone again and still can't get past the drone and they say they'll get an engineer to call back... but one really never does.. So basically they take so long to resolve a simple issue that if you had just had a 5 min chat with an engineer would have been resolved .. yet what you get is massive time and effort wasteage trying to get to someone to talk to.. but getting poxy emails and they think this is efficiant...
