How would I de attach the license from the server and allocate it to the other server.. Or is there a cheaper and better server backup system out there?

Do we need a license key for each server ? As it was working on another server then I took it off of that server and reloaded it onto this server.. So I went from 2 server with no grey to 1 server with greyed out C, D E Drives Yes I did use the reboot option and and the account is Domain Admin...

Thats the problem... There is no security tag to get to the permissions ? Just Sharing

When I install remote on one 2003 server on the "main" server I can see the C, D, E and Fdrive of the remote server. When I install remote on another 2003 server the C D and E are greyed out .. and only the shares are available So i uninstall remote for the first remote server that was working with remote and reinstall remote on the greyed out remote server and C,D and E are still greyed out and I get "Selection of this item is disabled Your are not authorised to access this item a license key is not installed on the machine or it is old and incompatiable" Now they are both 2003 servers and it was working on the one but not the other.. Any ideas ? Ta

Hi Install SIMS on lots of PC's.. Open security of the SIMS folder on local PC Domain Users to Modify.. all execpt 1 PC that does not have securtiy ... only sharing ... Logged on as domain admin nothing... logged on as Local Administrator... nothing.. Am I being a bit thick or is there something wrong.. Any ideas ? Somebody Said FAT issue... But if it was FAT would the user have automatic modify rights and SIMS would open ?

What we did to tidy the IWB cables up was build a 10cm W x 50cm D x 70cm L wooden box and attach it to the back of the teachers PC and put the multiplug, splitter box, board power supply and the rest into the "HOLE" Out of sight out out of mind..

Yes..... Sorry I am getting my UNC and URL mixed The staff are trying http://server/exchange/ And it keeps asking for a password... even staff that have active and well used Outlook accounts.. All execpt me as domain Admin Sorry for the double post dunno how that happened

Hi We have Exchange 2003 on a Windows 2000 server SP4 When the staff try to open \\server\exchange it asks for a logon and password It keeps repeating for a logon and even tho the correct one is being entered refuses to allow access. I can log on as administrator and access Admin OWA but the staff seem to cannot.. Any ideas ?

Hi We have Ranger installed and running the desktops When the staff try to open outlook they have to configure Outlook and find the server The Staff have local profiles so I am told that Roaming or Mandatory profiles is the way to go.. Now will this affect Ranger ? Ok... just to brush up... is this how I should set up the profiles.. I log on a a staff member. Adjust the desktop and rest to desired setup. Copy the profile to server\profile folder Change the .dat to .man in the profile folder go through staff members accounts in AD and point all to the same mandatory profile in the profile folder. And then all staff members should be able to log on to Outlook automatically configured to their own settings What happens if there are some Outlook 2000's around ? Is this correct ? and then all the staff even tho i used 1 staff account should have their Outlook configured on opening ? Many Thanks
