    BSF Topic

this topic is still in unseen the depts of Edugeek's forum... In fact a discussion on this years Xmas Gatherings has more importance than the BSF Steamroller and PfS taking over ICT in schools and making a whole lot of us unemployed... Glad the priorities are in order...

I was at a BSF meeting when one of the proposed companies said that their first obligation was to their shareholders... then the school.. Whereas an In-House ICT Department has no shareholders and is focused on the school

  22. You must ask the BGFL to hand over control of the filtering to you.. this is what happens with the LGFL... Its a simple web interface and you can block or unblock what ever you want
  23. yes... sorry that should be 255.255.252.0 Would I not have to change the static SN Masks to .248 on the servers, Printers and WAPS manualy ? as this is what I am trying to avoid :-)
  24. I sure this has been discussed before.. but.. I nned to extend my range.. 192.168.0.1 192.168.3.254 255.255.255.252 Is my configuration.. we only have 18% free of the DHCP scope and I am getting 90 more PC's soon As you know we have fixed IP's for Servers, Printers, WAPs and some other stuff... Is there any way to simply extend this range :-)
  25. I look at them all caring like and say.... do you have a backup of this Flash Drive ? If they say no.. I put the flash drive in and see if it works or not.. if not I say .. sorry you should have backed it up... its dead and chuck it in the bin.... and then get back to the other 50 billion more important jobs I have to do before lunch... we only give staff 128 or 256mb data sticks to stop them putting too much on them and losing ALL thier work.. Or biggest issue now is staff dumping their full 512mb disks on the servers and not checking before they dump more 512mb sticks onto the server and duplicating the backups...
