We use Sophos XGS for our in house filtering, we have always used the STAS client / collector to poll machines via WMI to authenticate users on the firewall when they login to a windows machine. Has worked great for many years. 25H2 has finally killed off WMI, so at the moment we are stuck with 24H2 until we can find a different method. Any recommendations? I've seen there is a Registry read option on STAS, I've never tried this though.

" School Website Policy " - Do you have one?
Olliedawg replied to Olliedawg's topic in Learning Network Manager
No not at all - I am the only one who makes changes on the website. I just wondered if anyone else had heard of such a policy. Appreciate the responses -

That's what I said too - I know there is guidance on what content you must publish, but not a specific policy relating to the website its self. -
Hi all, As per the title, do you have a "School Website Policy"? Our BM seems to think we need one, but I've read otherwise?

What's The Easiest Way To Disable The Calculator In Windows
Olliedawg replied to Fazza's topic in Windows 10
We've got this working, however upon login we get the "This app has been blocked by your system administrator" dialog box, which appears automatically. It seems that calculator likes to auto run in the background? I can't find a registry entry for this app running on startup, any ideas how to disable the autorun - or maybe it's easier to just uninstall the calculator app? -
Nothing bad to say about Dell AIO's. We have a load of 7460 AIO's... never really had an issue

We use a Synology 423+, never had any problems with it, but I understand why people steer clear.

Did you manage to resolve this one? SSO works for us, but only on the 2nd login. On the 1st login, when trying to sign into teams (before onedrive or edge is signed into), gives various script errors

I haven't, no. I've tried the built in GPO, it just doesn't work for us. I use Delprof2 as and when needed which seems to do the trick. Usually do it every half term.

Look at ShredOS. It's a small bootable linux distro which is purely for wiping data from drives. GitHub - PartialVolume/shredos.x86_64: Shredos Disk Eraser 64 bit for all Intel 64 bit processors as well as processors from AMD and other vendors which make compatible 64 bit chips. I play Destiny 2 with a couple of work colleagues, good laugh! The game has gone seriously downhill in recent times unfortunately. Other than that, not so much nowadays. I used to be an avid WoW player back in the day.

We have the same behaviour as yourself. Never found a fix for it

Can vouch for vericool. We have used them for nearly a decade here. Moved from the on-prem install to their cloud hosted "SwiftQ" platform. No issues.

Talk straight.. anyone having issues?
Olliedawg replied to Alastairb25's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
No issues here, however we only have the barebones connection - no filtering on the line its self -
Our team are being asked to get more involved in manging the social media, uploading/creating posts etc - just wondering how many of you also undertake such tasks, alongside all the usual IT support...
