Any recommendations for an AV supplier/installer in the east midlands? Lincolnshire area

Our SLT are discussing this at the mo.. I had a thought about running the student photos on our website through CoPilot within our 365 tenant (ironic, use AI to beat AI..) to "cartoonify" the images, making the faces non recognisable.

What about creating a new user account specifically for opening that .pst & exporting it, then your name won't appear at the top.
-
We use outlook. Just redact the name from the top. Acrobat is pretty good for redacting, but you need the paid version.

It does, up to 100GB

Our IT suites are still running Windows 10 22H2 (ESU version). We have SSO working for OneDrive, Teams, Microsoft Edge using Primary Refresh Token (PRT) Microsoft Entra Connect: Seamless single sign-on - Microsoft Entra ID | Microsoft Learn We did initially have issues a while back (believe it was September time) where none of these devices would work with SSO for OneDrive or Teams (desktop clients). In the end we just re imaged the IT suites to solve it, so not actually sure what the issue was there.

I believe A1 Plus is going, not regular A1

We use Veaam to backup our VM's to a NAS in a separate building. This is then replicated to Peasoup Cloud. Can't comment on the RM side as i've never touched an RM network We buy our Veeam licences directly from Peasoup, plus the cloud storage.

We still use MDT to install a plain Win11 ISO, then install apps as part of a task sequence

Our users have the following formats set for their UPN & Primary SMTP (on prem hybrid to exchange online) UPN: [email protected] PrimarySMTP: [email protected] So both of these are different, which I believe is against the best practice? For some applications we see that Microsoft SSO can easily break where the application only has the PrimarySMTP address, and the users Microsoft account is logged in with the UPN. For example, Senso V2 we imported some users using their PrimarySMTP address, and SSO doesn't work. If we use their UPN, it does work. Are there any major caveats to making these both the same? Maybe making the old UPN an alias? I understand that the UPN is used to actually log in to Microsoft 365, so that would need to be communicated to users. Suppose I can also just import the UPN address instead which would enable SSO to function.

We use a Synology NAS to backup our exchange mailboxes, groups, user onedrives, sharepoint sites... I admit there probably are better solutions out there, but this one works for us & it's free.

None at all. Don't think any of our staff use publisher

Ours takes about 10 minutes too, office 2024 LTSC. Current channel from the CDN

I'm very late to the party but i've just started watching Game of Thrones. On Season 2 now, brilliant so far

You can also use a software TOTP in a password manager as a backup (KeePass for example)

We have two DC's running on Server 2022, never had an issue with that.

I've been exploring options for getting some newer kit to replace our 5406zl... We do our inter-vlan routing on our XGS so we don't need a big beefy core. We don't have many Vlans either. Wondering if this would work This as the "aggregate" switch to uplink all edge switches MikroTik CRS326-24S+2Q+RM (Cloud Router Switch) 24-Port Cloud Managed Rackmount 10-Gigabit SFP+ Switch w/ 2 x 40G QSFP+ Ports (RouterOS/SwOS Level 5) This as the 10Gb backbone for servers + connection to XGS, using a 2 link LACP MikroTik CRS312-4C+8XG-RM (Cloud Router Switch) 8-Port Layer 3 Managed Rackmount 10-Gigabit Switch w/ 4 x 10G RJ45/SFP+ Combo Ports (RouterOS/SwOS Level 5) Looking at Mikrotik as majority of our edge switches are Mikrotik & I know my way around the UI pretty well now, unfortunately they don't do a chassis style switch. They also have dual PSU's which is nice for the price point. Although like you @FragglePete, i'm also keen to just hang on to what i've currently got, as I have an entire spare chassis, plus spare modules.

Reviving this thread after a few years. Our original 5406ZL is still chugging along nicely! Running on the last firmware made available K.16.02.0036. Still have a spare 5406ZL chassis in the cupboard, with 1 spare of each module.. anyone else still running their 5406ZL? I have had zero issues with this switch in my 5 years at the school.

We usually stick to the BenQ RE boards. They don't require you to sign in / have a internet connection to use the built in apps, like some boards do.

I've opened a ticket as that's what they always suggest

Broken here, modules not loading properly

Google Workspace for Education Fundamentals (Free)
Olliedawg replied to JazzFlute's topic in ChromeOS & Cloud Based OS
All I will say is good luck. Took over 8 months for us from initially applying. I spoke to someone from Google at BETT in February, we got approved about a month or so after that. I believe they had a massive influx of schools wanting to join when the Windows 10 EOL in Oct 2025 was near. -
Slow Internet. How do you troubleshoot?
Olliedawg replied to Gongalong's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
What about if you try ping a domain name? Like ping google.com -t -
We use a Sharepoint site with lists. Can setup some funky things with PowerAutomate & filters. Works for us & it's free.
