Yep probably better off getting Windows Server DC licences, should be a lot cheaper than the renewals Broadcom offer for VMware. It is a shame. ESXi is great

Our active licences haven't moved over, no entitlements at all infact! I can't create a ticket because their case management/helpdesk site (wolkenservicedesk) errors out when logging in. Seems to be a wide spread issue which has been happening over the past few days, lots of people complaining on the forums, no communication from Broadcom.. absolute dumpster fire. When our support ends i'm ditching ESXi I'm thankful i backed up all of my licence keys, however at the moment I can't download the latest release of ESXi ( 8.0.3 ).

Agreed on some points For us they seem happy to collect - sometimes have to book 3/4 weeks in advance for a collection though. In their contract they state that they produce asset lists & certificates of destruction for storage drives - never had any of these. Luckily I keep my own asset list for items disposed of! I only use them because they don't charge for collections

I believe it is direct between PP & Vericool for payments. If i still had our old onprem vericool VM I could have checked for you We have a Wonde connection for Vericool, purely for pulling staff/student records through from the MIS

We use ParentPay (have done for ages..) ParentPay works fairly well. We've only had one or two issues in the past with balances not matching between Vericool & ParentPay. However this has not happened since moving to SwiftQ We are looking to move to Bromcom's payment system in the future

We transitioned from on prem vericool, to the SwiftQ hosted solution. No issues at all really. Support are generally quick to get back to you

TBH i think we'll go down this route, the 10,000 per month will easily cover us - like you say its cheap enough to go direct with Bromcom

That may be the route we got down. I'm just running a message trace to see how many emails (internal + external) we send out per month. I'm guessing its going to exceed the free 3,000 Bromcom provides. The next step up is 10,000 per month for £99 P/A which isn't too bad to be honest. Would be nice if they implemented oAuth though, would let us cut the cost completely.

Just given it my vote! oAuth would be the simple solution, fingers crossed they are able to implement this

We do still have an onprem exchange VM in a hyrbid config, however its purely for management, no mail runs through the server. I've looked at High Volume Mail in 365, however this only seems to be for internal email.

This will remove the teams machine wide installer - I have this built into my install script for the new teams, works well

I just had a quote for something similar, running 5 Cat6 cables from one building to another (new building going up containing 2 classrooms). Quoted £550. This includes patching in the network cab, fitting data points in the classroom side. New build is going to have a duct put in for cable to run under the ground from the old building

Does your task sequence also input the office 2019 licence key? Do you use 3rd party anti-virus? If so is this installed in the TS before office is installed?

If you are using ESXi any VM with VMtools installed should get the time from the hypervisor as jthompson said. step 1 = enable NTP on the hypervisor, set NTP service to autostart with hypervisor step 2 = set the NTP server to 0.uk.pool.ntp.org, 1.uk.pool.ntp.org step 3 = relax I've had 0 time issues with this method

You probably just need to update your ADMX to get that GPO, you could use that policy as a last resort if you don't find another solution

Yes sounds promising, see if it was targeting based on windows version. In which case it would not apply as the windows version does not match anymore

Does the GPO "Turn off Windows Hotkeys" stop this? This also would affect many other useful shortcuts though.
