Yeah, if its the original one without the screen (has the blue square circle instead) they have the same built in "power features" as the Toughswitches, as in faily power supplies. They can be replaced with a 3rd party one without too much modification, but it's certainly far easier to replace with something else.

I've had experience with Eonon and Xtrons. Had 2 failures on the Xtrons (both on a Ford Focus) but service was surprisingly decent and had a quick replacement. Very aware of this - definitely use optical cables where you can. Apparently every join in a HDMI connection is the equivalent of 2 or 3 meters of cable in loss, and you have 2 of those in a faceplate setup (turning a 5m cable into 10-11m worth of loss), and some devices are more sensitive to this than others. For example, the Intel Iris chipset is bloody awful in that regard.

The lack of objectivity here shows. Yes, Mercedes MUST go to court. Masi MUST be removed. however, unequivocally, the result MUST stand. The argument is not about who should have won, it's about consistency and transparency.

That wasn't a bad decision, it was Masi being Masi. The best overall outcome is for Mercedes to hammer FIA/Masi in court, get that fool out of office and get someone else more suitable in place. Masi has made mistake after mistake and applying the rules to suit his own whims (can NOT be applied to 15.3 as agreed by countless people including lawyers!) is unacceptable.
