Odd one, in testing with our new Smoothwall. Most seems OK, however a couple of oddities: A couple of clients, Chrome filters differently to Edge. Same proxy settings etc (well, it's transparent ). 888.com works for Chrome but is correctly blocked by Edge. And this... I just don't know. Twitter, reddit etc correctly blocked but Facebook is doing this. (And yes, it works for the user). Any clues?

How did you get this set up on Cloudflare? They only seem to accept domain transfers which use an auth code (so no .uk addresses) even if unlocked, and any sort of support needs a business (paid) account setting up.

Bit of a daft question if anything, but it's been a long time since I played with SW at this level and the people that installed it for us might as well not have bothered. So, smoothie installed with an internal and external interface in typical fashion, for transparent setup. Internal interface is basic on our default vlan with a set IP on a /22. However, only machines on that vlan can speak to it, so I've set up a trunk port and VLAN interfaces for each vlan we have. I just want to sanity check the setup! So, am I best keeping the default internal one active, and setting an IP address on each VLAN on the smoothie? Do I also need to create a VLAN interface on the trunk port for the default network with a second IP? Don't want to create a loopback type issue, but can't otherwise see how everything's going to interface otherwise! Cheers

There's some conflicting statements there, Smoothwall Monitor is not a drop in for Impero, very different products that just happen to have a slight crossover in functionality. SW Monitor is entirely safeguarding based and integrates with your safeguarding reporting platform such as myconcern, cpoms etc, whereas Impero can only report to select console users.

I think you need to turn that back around; that isn't something that should perhaps be blocked, but learned and integrated.

Using switches on aruba central? You're brave! If you have ip route on it will make the default gateways moot and enable intervlan routing by default.

Ditto with fs.com. Under £30 compared to over £300 in most cases, no brainer. Full warranty too, and you could even keep plenty of spares and still be quids in.

Doesn't appear to be the case for us, once they've been emailed before they're in contacts and the orange highlight doesn't appear. I suspect we'll just have to keep drilling it into staff to double check

Have had more problems with Iris Fastrak here in 1 month than I've had with Cunninghams in several years - and I didn't used to particularly like them! Support vastly improved recently so of all the providers they would be the go-to for me.

Does anyone know if there's a way to alter the external email warning in Gmail please? This bit: It's good that it applies for external mail, however I want it to show for all external mail even if the recipient is in their contacts. It seems strange that this isn't a default option, and as usual this is a piece of cake in 365. Cheers

With some luck, they've updated and fixed them It still seems odd that they'd deviate away from the UI's used on other devices; simply enough to do even with differing operating systems, but when nomenclatures differ it gets confusing. From what I remember, it was the PVID and native vlan settings which were really odd!

Decent quality and performance; absolutely diabolical UI! The VLAN configuration is enough to make you give up IT, relocate to nepal and live as a goat.

I quite enjoy the senior tournaments, because there's some proper humans involved. People with personalities, people who enjoy a laugh and don't take it too seriously. Right, I've reported my original posts for deletion as I've had an email from SMF Systems/Vapeguardian keen to answer some concerns. No data is sent to China. All data is apparently kept in the UK, with some anonymous & encrypted air readings do go via the Tuya API. They confirm the boards are manufactured in China by Airbath. He states they are designed in the UK, however from my own contact with AirBath this actually means they specify what they want here and Airbath make them to order (which they will do for anyone with suitably sized orders). I don't want to vilify anyone but as I've told them, I have a huge bee in my bonnet about misinformation and I'm keen to kick it out where I can. Marketing is just another word for bovine poop, so there will always be a bit of leeway there but that's another story. I've given some feedback regarding false positives and domains/cross website functionality not being there, and I don't know if their app is now available on the App stores yet. Again, personally if an app isn't on the Google play store or Apple store, then it's not yet trustable. Testpilot isn't meant for any sort of deployment outside testing, and the less said about random APK's the better.
