Wubbalubbadub Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Anyone know when ill be able to see Windows 10 in my licencing portal? Ordered a new machine which should arrive tomorrow! Would like to put Windows 10 on it. Matt
ZeroHour Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 August 1st is the date MS have mentioned so far. 1
Jamoire Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Win 10 KMS and MAK keys are on VLSC now. Seem to have Education and Enterprise LTSB. Doesn't seem to be an option for Enterprise if we don't want to be on the LTSB.
Jamoire Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 KMS key has disappeared now for me but MAK is still there
SteveM555 Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 KMS key has disappeared now for me but MAK is still there Is it just listed under the Windows category? I can't see anything relating to Windows 10 in the VLSC
Jamoire Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Its under Licenses > Relationship Summary > Choose an agreement > License Keys. Nothing under the Downloads and Keys option but I guess that wont appear until the 1st Aug 3
Jonah Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Yea we've got MAK keys for Education & Enterprise LTSB, but no sign of KMS.
MYK-IT Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 I've got activation keys for the below listed; but strangely Windows 8 (disappeared!) and 10 aren't listed or available to download within "Download and Keys" section! Windows 10 Education (for Academic customers only) MAK Windows 10 Enterprise 2015 LTSB MAK
LeMarchand Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Its under Licenses > Relationship Summary > Choose an agreement > License Keys. Nothing under the Downloads and Keys option but I guess that wont appear until the 1st Aug Too obvious for it to be in the other section as well! Neither of the agreements I checked have KMS keys (but that may be that new idea of having to request them) but oddly one site has EDU, PRO + ENT LTSB (no non-LTSB ENT) while the other has no EDU but PRO + both ENT versions (though it says the non-LTSB is non-Academic only).
Wubbalubbadub Posted July 29, 2015 Author Posted July 29, 2015 Do we know what the difference is between the enterprise and edu yet?
ZeroHour Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Do we know what the difference is between the enterprise and edu yet? I *think* just LTSB really. 1

Trapper Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 SoaB! C'mon that's hiding the damn thing. Most people would look in the usual place under Downloads and Keys.
SBennett Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 If you want any versions apart from the Enterprise and Education then you can download an ISO through Microsoft's website: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10. Going to install Professional tonight! 1
Trapper Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 (edited) Watch out! nVidia drivers DO NOT PLAY well. And will screw your install. Even trying to fix it using the CPU graphics won't work. Make sure you: 1) Turn System Restore on 2) Make a manual restore every hour. 3) DO NOT install the nVidia offical drivers. 4) After Windows Update has installed the correct DX11 drivers stop Update from doing *anything* with drivers: Ignore the previous bit. It's here: System Properties --> Hardware --> Device Installation Settings * No, let me choose what to do # Never install driver software from Windows Update Save. Now at some future point when say Steam tries to update your nVidia drivers for GTA5 it won't download from Win Updates and total your rig. Edited July 29, 2015 by Trapper Made a massive error
Trapper Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 One would assume like the Vista and 8 RTM driver cock ups this will be resolved before the week is out as lusers begin to use it and demand to know why they could play CoD fine on Win 8.1 Up 1, but they can't see anything on their screens after a while with Win 10.0 RTM
Trapper Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Also I must show off:
Moohorse Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Windows 10 Education showed up on Dreamspark this morning.
dblight Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Education and Enterprise are due on VLSC from Saturday (01/08/15)
Trapper Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 (edited) but DreamSpark get it first! Glad I have a few thousand DreamSpark IDs to deploy! Ah! Standard Dreamspark for Schools get Server OS but not Desktop OS. That's premium for Universities. They've changed all of it since I last logged in around 2011 Edited July 30, 2015 by Trapper
DrCheese Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 Don't see it I had to log a call with MS earlier as I don't see any Windows versions at all (tho I see our keys!) - The guy on the phone said that it's an issue with the Windows 10 launch and I should see them Saturday, but it's logged with them to call me on Monday if not :|
Homer Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 I've had the same problem as you - logged in and still having it... although all of the Windows 7 versions have returned compared to yesterday! Another whinge at MS is in order I feel
