bald_pig Posted November 19, 2021 Posted November 19, 2021 *whistle* I hope you've let them know what they're in for! Hello everyone, My Boss at work introduced me to this Edugeek forum as a good source of info and tech for our school IT support. Looking forward to drain your brains and feed you mine too. I hope to take that knowledge and put it to a good course of supporting teachers and student to learn, while giving me minimum tickets to deal with on a day to day basic, lol. Rgds. Podipopo Welcome along! 1
DJHLUnicorn Posted December 4, 2021 Posted December 4, 2021 Hello all just to let you know I’m still here albeit less frequently I have a question though I’m hoping you clever people may know an answer or solution. Both of my laptops have pop up messages stating that they’re not compatible in their current form for windows 11. Is it possible for me to have windows 11 added to them somehow…..what’s on them states that it’ll last till 2025 anyway but I was just wondering what my options are as I don’t really want to buy a new one just to accommodate windows 11

You could also try https://amirhosseinhpv.github.io/WhyNotWin11/ to see where the problem is; might just need to make some BIOS changes. Don't hold your breath, though
UnsuspectingElasmobranch Posted December 6, 2021 Posted December 6, 2021 Greetings. Just a throwaway account, don't mind me! But hello

AlistairB1983 Posted January 27, 2022 Posted January 27, 2022 Hello everyone I've been around for a while and thought it might be time for my first post - at which point this thread seemed ideal. I'm recently started as a Data Manager for a secondary school in Berkshire, but have been Data Manager/Exams Officer for two previous schools over the last 8 years. This site has already helped me numerous times and I look forward to it doing so more in the future - and maybe one day me being able to return the favour for someone else!

Qresh-CySec Posted February 25, 2022 Posted February 25, 2022 (edited) Hello all involved in edugeek! I recently started a secure virtual desktop movement at a school in Northern England. I love posting cyber security related advice on Reddit but my client recommended I come on here to help whenever needed. Therefore, I hope many of you benefit from my future posts! I will hopefully share tools, experiences, and mitigations for the increasing accounts of cyber crime but I am increasingly looking forward to learning from these forums Hope to make some good content for all involved, these are weird times for cyber wars and wars in general. First things first, if you are an IT head and are worried about recent exploits or you have someone on your team who deals with recent exploits -> here is a website which searches for many types of ransomware that COULD affect your systems. www.sploitus.com Good luck out there!
