Hi all!

 

I'm Adrian - currently a Faculty Systems Administrator at a university. Having said that, the job has evolved more into an End User Computer Services Supervisor but the job title change hasn't happened - less back office stuff, more customer facing. Been at the IT support lark for 30 years or so, mostly in education but with a few minor excursions into the commercial world. I do prefer the edu-vibe (is that a word?) though, there's a reorganisation threatening at my current place so I'll be looking in the jobs section just in case :D

I haven't actually, sometime's we'll just have a cup of tea and go do them in reverse :p

Hello everyone, I'm Neil.

 

I mostly do endpoint management/workspace/end user compute (or whatever the buzzword is for it these days!) at a university.

 

One of my colleagues raves about this place so I though I'd check it out.

 

My specialism is mainly around macOS, iOS, Linux and MDM (background as a sound engineer and IT trainer before getting into systems administration). Recent changes within my team have pushed me into towards Windows packaging/management as well.

 

I tend to hang out in the MacAdmins Slack (also an admin there) and help to run the London Apple Admins meetups.
