matt40k Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 (edited) Calling all super heros!!!... well people with SupportNet accounts Can you all please logon to SupportNet - http://support.capitaes.co.uk/ Then from the top menu, click on Support > Change Requests (http://support.capitaes.co.uk/ChangeRequest/BrowseChangeRequest.aspx) In the CR NO. enter 1208-1131105, then click on the Search List Then click on 1208-1131105 and then Strongly agree So why should you use your super powers? Well why not?!? Oh, you want an actual reason eh? Ok, the evil emperor Dark Capita has enforced the Rule of 54! Which restricts the Exams wizards reports to... well 54 subjects (they are greedy fellows (and fellowettes) those Exam Wizards). In plain English (stealing Julia words): Since the Summer 2012 upgrade, if a school tries to print or export the Certification Broadsheet report for one Season, one Qualification but ALL levels the error Report Cannot be Displayed since Total Number of Subjects has Exceeded the Maximum Allowed Limit of 54 is displayed. Our schools have always run for All levels in the past with no problems and it seems a backward step for them to now have to select the report Level by Level (which incidentally does work). Please restore the previous functionality. Once you have completed your quest, return to the shire (Edugeek) for your prize (some thanks) Edited August 23, 2012 by matt40k
Max_Power Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Had this problem ourselves - its a little stupid to say the least. Voted - so awaiting my Prize ;-) 1
matt40k Posted August 23, 2012 Author Posted August 23, 2012 Guessing most of the super heroes are on holiday, better turn on the bat signal - I would send out a mass mail but I don't have an InTouch license
pete Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Guessing most of the super heroes are on holiday, better turn on the bee signal Yup, that's silly. Voted 1
matt40k Posted August 23, 2012 Author Posted August 23, 2012 Wonder how many points we need... wonder if it's 54?
TechMonkey Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Wonder how many points we need... wonder if it's 54? No, if you get above 54 it can't calculate the total so falls over and breaks The Matrix. Done but I wonder who voted Strongly Disagree? Someone that misread the labels (as I nearly did!) or someone who can't work above 54? Only the Shadow knows!! 1
matt40k Posted August 23, 2012 Author Posted August 23, 2012 No, if you get above 54 it can't calculate the total so falls over and breaks The Matrix. Does that mean when that person changes it to strongly agree - @Vegas? - and a few more people vote, so we get "56", we'll be freed, so we can play in the sun*, just cause I've just eaten lunch and I'm not sure how much running I can do... perhaps I could play a few hours of red dead redemption * I did type summer the first time, but I'm not sure if my work would be happy if I said I need to re-do my summer holiday, especially 3 times!! PS: I'm pretty certain this "change" doesn't require me to too serious, personally it's a bug and we shouldn't have to log it as a change, anyway, I'm sure the great @PhilNeal will come along soon an explain the logic behind the 54 law, I'm sure they have a good reason, just yet to hear it.
SYNACK Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 But what happens when it gets up to 54 votes??? Won't someone think of the variables 1
matt40k Posted August 23, 2012 Author Posted August 23, 2012 I think 54 a good time to get your own place if you haven't already
matt40k Posted August 23, 2012 Author Posted August 23, 2012 Could I recommend the CR gets a place on developer boulevard? They're often a great first place for CRs and it could then move on to a family home on release manager corner....
PhilNeal Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 No need to vote a change already is in hand. 2
vikpaw Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 Got my +2 now, just need 3 more peeps to see if it really will break at 54.
matt40k Posted August 28, 2012 Author Posted August 28, 2012 Three more people will vote mate and Capita will remove it as they've fixed it
vikpaw Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Funny you should say that, as I can't get onto SupportNet - it just broke!
matt40k Posted August 28, 2012 Author Posted August 28, 2012 Funny you should say that, as I can't get onto SupportNet - it just broke! Cheers, you had to break it when I needed it didn't you!! Maybe we should play a game whilst we wait for it to come back to life? I know, complete this sentence: SupportNet is as reliable as....
SYNACK Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 SupportNet is as reliable as.... ...the software it supports - too soon
matt40k Posted August 28, 2012 Author Posted August 28, 2012 Haha, maybe when they release SIMS 8 I'll agree with you, but at the moment I'd say it's as reliable as Collect a few years ago.
