BB gun days (like paintball but guns fire plastic balls)

I'm getting married in just under 2 years and just chosen my best man. Don't want any boozy weekend but was looking at adventure holiday type things myself. Quite fancy off road segwaying

I'm not a heavy drinker by any means, yet my best man planned a weekend to Prague for me and 11 mates. Booked well in advanced, it cost about £150 in total. Day time was laser quest and sight seeing, night time was bars, bars, bars and another 'generic stag establishment'. Best weekend ever, loved every minute of it. And everything there was seriously cheap. Even more so for me as no one would allow me to by my own drinks!

 

Even better, I can recall about 90% of it...

Well im in the south west so not london but the Casino is a Grovesnor so im sure itll be a nation wide thing. £20 per person minumum of 6 people, you get a drink, food and £5 of playing chips and access to your own dealer who can even teach you how to play poker etc. Clay pigeon was booked seperatley and is £25 for around 30 shots each

 

Those that cant make both can come to either and its all fairly cheap which was a must as the wedding is in Florida

I've organised a couple. For one we flew from London City to Stockholm on Friday, caught the overnight ferry to Helsinki, and flew back from Helsinki. That was a fun weekend. It was June, so we ended up leaving some bar in Helsinki at 2:30am and discovering it was still light. Wierd experience. I really do recommend Scandiwegia for a stag. Finnish girls love British men.

 

The other one I organised, we went up to Duxford on the Friday. I packed a couple of cool boxes, and we sat and drank beer and had pies and sandwiches next to the runway while WW2 aircraft were landing and taking off. Then on the Saturday I took them down to the coast and we went on a heritage railway and went to the pub.

 

I suppose it depends what his interests are and how old you all are.

I organised my brothers Stag do 2 years ago, we had a Pub lunch and then went Clay Pigeon shooting. The Shoot was run by a friend so was good.

 

For my stag do I wanted to go Coasteering but as wedding is not far away was too cold this time of year so we went for a pub lunch followed by bowling and then went to Romford Dogs Stadium. Was a little apprehensive but was a good laugh.

 

Both were in Essex, so not too far away.

I'm getting married next year, someone suggested the top gear challenge type stag dos. Buy a car for less than £100 and drive it to a destination, doing a couple of challenges on the way. There are companies who arrange them, or you could do it yourself.

 

That's what I wanted to do, head down the local car auctions. Buy anything under £50 that wasn't a metro. And then head for the Nurbergring!

Clay pigeon shooting is a good one. I went to a mates stag do and it was an absolutely brilliant day.

I'm heading off to edingburgh this weekend for a mates stag do, with a spot of Go Karting, we've done quad biking and paintballing before in the past as well.

I went on two last year. One a weekend in Blackpool, lucky i had the week off afterwards !!

The other i was best man for but didn't have to organise. We did clay pigeon shooting in the morning, went out for a Chinese in the evening, casino afterwards where we met up with the ladies and then Go-karting on the Sunday.

Yeah he does airsoft so that might be an option.

 

Airsoft would be better than paintball as the round at shorter and there is no minimum distance to keep and the bruises are a lot small.

 

The best this about is you get between 70k -100k rounds to fire during the day, it allow you to go Rambo/Terminator trigger happy style all day!

 

I arranged a day to my friends stag do, was £70 for a full day, so was better value than go karting.

 

Just throwing in a curry and a couple of beers, then stitch him up with a stripper, he will be to knackered to complain!

Last stag do i was at was fantastic, my friend organised it all and we went down to Nottingham for the weekend.

 

Friday - night out round Nottingham (although it was like downtown Baghdad at kick out time, same weekend as the cricket)

Saturday - Tank paintballing (Armourgeddon the home of Tank Paintball) was loads of fun, 3 people in a APC. we all got a go at driving/aiming/firing and then had a paintball battle after, they also do driving of various military vehicles, like WW2 jeeps ect. Good thing about the driving is you don't need a licence because its on private fields. Followed that up with a table booking at hooters.

Sunday - Off road quad biking and regular paintballing at an activity park.

 

Was pretty pricey, about £200 each, but thats for the whole weekend which was pretty unforgettable, and we all payed a bit extra so the groom and his dad didn't have to pay.

It's a wonderful city. It's clean, safe and friendly. We stayed in an ApartHotel which cost about £40.00 per night. Drinks are pricey but food wasn't too bad. Flights are relatively cheap if you book early. The cruise across the Baltic is well worth doing - the ship is more like a night club than a ferry. And did I mention that Finnish girls love British men?

So i thought i would update you guys and gals as to what i did in the end if you was curious.

 

I split the day into 2 events a daytime event and a evening event on saturday. This gave the majority of people a chance to do one thing or the other or both.

 

Daytime:

 

Booked a 3 hour beginner skiing class on a indoor ski slope based in hemel hempsted. It is snow and not a dry slope and is topped up every 2 weeks.

Since there was 10 of us that could do that it was booked as a corporate booking (i believe minimum spend on corporate booking is £250 I THINK).

 

The session was £56 for the 3 hour's which includes ski's and waterproofs and helmet. The only thing for hygiene reason you would have to provide is waterproof insulated gloves and thick socks which you can purchase from the centre for £9 gloves and £4 socks (you could probably get em cheaper at sports direct or something before hand). We had lots of fun there was awesome and when i suggested it to everyone for an activity everyone was up for it because the majority haven't done it and the minority didn't do it in such a long time. The groom found out when we got to the centre and he was well chuffed so i was pleased!

 

Corporate prices are not listed on the website if i recall and you would have to contact them for that they probably change a lot so hence why they are not listed.

 

The evening:

 

Once that was all done let everyone make there way home and then meet up later in a restaurant i booked out which quite a few peeps showed up too, got him a cake with 'Another one bites the dust!' written on it went down really well. Whoever wanted to go clubbing and stuff went and that was that. Everyone loved it and said so throughout the course of the day. I am just relieved it went well i can breathe for now...... Until the wedding and i best get on with writing a speech!

Back in the day - we couldnt be bothered to do anything really and all went down the pub - yes, men and women together. We did stay at opposite ends of the room though...

In fact I ended up coming home in the same car with my intended (well, we did live together) and all I can say is, the excessive alcohol got to him and I ended the evening crouched by the side of the car with a bucket and some dettol

We all went out for a pizza together and then went to the pub... 22 years ago in our case! My groom saved his over consumption of alcohol for the next day! (I've almost forgiven him )
