Me too me too ... very exciting ... we need to revamp our website in a few months time so was planning on looking into starting on this in March / April ... Most appreciated.

An upgrade would be great ... but tbh we would probably just start from scratch rahter than upgrading as I've never had much fun trying to get an upgrade to work properly!

Steve, I thank your generosity in looking at this for 2.5. Are you planning to make the template resemble the current one so those using the 1.5 version can continue their site at 2.5? Or is this going to be a different looking template entirely?

I will try and make the template like the current 1.5 template. I will also try and make a few different ones as well. I've just made 1 for a site that I have site up, so could change that a bit to make it for a School.

Hi Steve,

(This may be a bit cheeky!) Do you have any idea when you might have this available? I am currently developing a site for a school using the 1.5 version, however as we know the access control in 1.5 is very limited so I am needing to go-live with 2.5 (hope this makes sense!).

Best wishes,

Adam.

Ive been asked to knock something up but im a bit wary of starting with the 1.5 template if a new 2.5 version is around the corner

I've knocked together a 'mock' site just to show management and the staff but I will soon be implementing this into a live environment and would rather do that on version 2.5 as it has many enhanced features over 1.5, mainly the security features are better :)

Hi Steve,

Sorry to be a pain(!), but is there any update/progress with the template?

Best Wishes,

Adam.

I think you will be inundated with requests for the new 2.5 version as Joomla 1.5 is now End of Life. It is also becoming increasingly difficult to find a decent free template as most now have to be paid for, which is fair enough as it takes time.

Just a tip for those of you waiting. I updated our Joomla 1.5 install to 2.5 using JUpgrade, but wanted to keep our customised template. I used a couple of guides, but this one was good How to convert Joomla 1.5 template to Joomla 2.5 template to help me convert the existing template. Still a couple of CSS quirks to work through, but pretty successful, and no need for a major redesign. Sadly had to let rokslideshow go, and Joomfish isn't ready yet.
