[SIMS] ATF SEN error - LA and Capita won't support
mariohi replied to mariohi's topic in MIS Systems
So I removed all SEN tags but there is now another FSM error which doesn't give any specific details: Error ID Application Ref Number Pupil Forename Pupil Surname Description Is Critical 0 N/A N/A N/A Unexpected Error: The INSERT statement conflicted with the CHECK constraint "chk_adm_application_free_school_meals_history_start_date". The conflict occurred in database "sims", table "sims.adm_application_free_school_meals_history". The statement has been terminated. I checked the syntax with XML Tools plugin for Notepad++ and syntax looks fine. No idea where to look for this ... -
[SIMS] ATF SEN error - LA and Capita won't support
mariohi replied to mariohi's topic in MIS Systems
@CAM Thank you for the quick reply. So can I remove SEN tags completely from ATF and won't get an error when importing? -
We got ATF provided by Birmingham LA Admissions, looks like there is a problem with SEN tag which is causing ATF to fail when importing. When importing ATF process ends with this error and none of the applicants are imported: The applicant's SEN details will not be imported due to the following error: A mandatory tag is missing. It can be identified with the xpath of /ATfile/ATFpupilData/Pupil/SENhistory/SENneeds/SENneed After lots of ping pong emails between LA and Capita looks like none of them will help with this issue which is an absolute joke. They already delayed whole process for over month and we still ended up with none working ATF. Capita says " Unfortunately as we have not created the file we are unable to make these changes for you, it is something that your LA would need to do or it can be done within school." LA says: "I’m sorry but I don’t have the ability to remove the SEN data either, this would be down to our IT and software suppliers and they are advising they can’t provide a technical solution. We do not have access to test instances on any of the school MIS systems so cannot properly evaluate any changes that are made to the file structure. As such, neither CACI nor IT&D can provide any technical solution to the issues. Most Schools are indicating they are missing SEN Start Dates. This tag is shown as optional in the DfE schema so if missing this it should not prevent the file from loading, except that the affected MIS has decided that, if there is SEN data there should be a Start Date and so incorrectly treats the tag as Mandatory. The missing SEN Start whilst technically the file should be loadable by the MIS, if all the data were present then the tag would not be missing and so would not cause an issue." What are our options here other than entering data manually? Is it simply a matter of opening ATF with Notepad++ and replacing all SEN info with ? We will then import data via CTF or enter manually (better SEN only than all data). Apparently lots of secondary schools are affected by this in Birmingham. Any help will be appreciated.

I guess they sent it to thousands of people, it seems to be going in batches of 100 emails. I and a few other colleagues received this email in separate batches. Probably big sorry email for disclosing a large number of email addresses will follow. How does it relate to GDPR?

Capita just released the scripts for Power BI tool: How it works: https://app.gotowebinar.com/sl/index.html#/9087201215670623243/3912084758074635020 Files used in the webinar: Power BI Solution.pptx Starter documents.7z Session 1 This explains the processes of using the Command Reporter to extract data from SIMS and put the extracted raw data into a given location. https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/recording/7408614197712009985 Session 2 This explains the process of taking the raw data and building Power BI reports from it. https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/recording/2266563352506621699

@adamsund Have you tried to use the new Sharepoint Migration Tool? Comments under the article you posted: "MS should have consulted you. Their tool sucks, even for a beta. Yours is a life saver. Keep up the great work!" "They released half of it. They don’t pre-prevision nor assign permissions. Their tool is not complete! Please continue to support O365 Migrator!"

You are looking for this: O365Migrator | Liebensraum and this OneDriveMapper | Liebensraum

After trying litigation hold we found that the best way is to covert leavers mailboxes to shared mailboxes. Reasons: no need for exchange licenses, can be stored indefinitely, you can share the mailboxes with new employees if needed to retrieve emails. Account disabled.

Just go to run command by using Windows+R, then type Services.msc. Go to "shell hardware detection properties" and try to enable it. You can try to change it to Automatic or Manual. That's it.

Anyone had a luck with using ACT Enterprise UserImportTool to import photos? Any tips regarding import and enabling/disabling users from SIMS (we have Salamander)? I search for some manuals for UserImportTool but only found this: http://inter.act.eu/wp-content/uploads/documents/ACTpro_Enterprise_user_guide.pdf

[sims] XML with Pay Related Definitions Birmingham LA
mariohi replied to mariohi's topic in MIS Systems
No I wasn't planning to use another LA's definitions. Just tried to save our finance team some time in case these files are available from Birmingham CC. No I don't purchase Link2ICT support. -
Any idea where can I get XML's from to import Pay Related Definitions ( Teachers Pay Scales etc)? I googled and got this page with loads of XML's: HGfL: SITSS: Personnel Coordinators - Pay Related Definitions Is there something similar for Birmingham LA?
-
Simple question: why would you pay £1000+ for something you can have for free from Microsoft including their (WAY better "Muuuul speaking") support (also free)? Especially now when Microsoft Classroom trials started. I moved to O365 on my own when Link2ICT kept delaying the move and I couldn't take Zimbra anymore (especially people supporting it). Of course usual scare tactics from Link appeared (you will be flooded with spam, you will die and burn in hell without almighty Link ...). Two years now and I don't have any regrets. Regarding BGfL 365 I have seen their presentation when they were about to show live how to do something and of course it didn't work (surprise, surprise). The guy stammered "I don't understand, it worked last time I've tried". Reminded me Bill Gates and the printer. back in 90's. Whole session was worth it just for this moment. It just summed up Link2ICT. I lost hope in them, especially after last Network Managers Meeting (should I say Link2ICT HUGE sales pitch) I think we should get be paid for attending this sort of events. Two days earlier I attended RM conference and their sale was very gentle comparing to Link's. They even offeres some services for free: RM Inform, RM Unify. I hope the Entrust Support Services wont pick up Link2ICT manners ( Muuuuuul speaking, sorry we need headteacher letter to do that, it is something with your network - not our problem, even if if happens on my unfiltered mobile too, someone will contact you withing 4 working days,it will be chargeable service (on top of our £4000 support charge) and so on ....... ( luckily I forgot some of this nonsense already - feel free to enter you own experience comments - should I start separate topic here?) ~moaning mode off #feeling happy without Link2ICT and CMIS

Quite interesting week: O365 yesterday, BGFL today ... what's next? Last time BGFL "upgraded" they firewall and put half Birmingham down took them 2 days to resolve it - good they have weekend for testing.
-
Anyone had a luck with installing this behind BGfl proxy? Error code 30174-4 . Raised call with link 1 month ago, but the installer still being blocked.

Thanks, that's the solution I actually end up with - caretakers had some hammer time on Saturday morning ...

Zimbra to Office 365 IMAP using admin credentials
mariohi replied to mariohi's topic in Birmingham Grid for Learning (BGfL)
Zimbra 8. Is that how you migrated all your users? Have they lost access to their emails? I tested earlier the way you are suggesting and it works fine, but the only problem with it is that I will have to get passwords from users or change them - you know what will that cause. Migrating email using admin credentials seems like least interrupting way of doing it, but if it is not possible I will have to look for other ways. When you had zimbra in admin console when select user were options "view emails" and "view rights" are both inactive? I also managed to migrate one domain admin as user, but unable to migrate second one. -
Zimbra to Office 365 IMAP using admin credentials
mariohi replied to mariohi's topic in Birmingham Grid for Learning (BGfL)
Had to edit it - code got bit scrambled (email format), but to me it looks like exactly like yours. Emails still not importing ... -
Hi all, How csv file should look like? I'm trying: EmailAddress,UserName,Password [email protected],#[email protected]#[email protected]#,AdminPass but it's not syncing - it says it did but nothing happened, no email. I did managed to sync using user credentials before. Microsoft saying I should use: EmailAddress,UserName,Password [email protected],contoso-students/mailadmin/terry.adams,P@ssw0rd [email protected],contoso-students/mailadmin/ann.beebe,P@ssw0rd [email protected],contoso-students/mailadmin/paul.cannon,P@ssw0rd but what would be right format for Zimbra from Link2ICT?

Any idea how to disable this loud thing? I was told there is certain pattern to follow to disable device, but no details. It was installed while ago and on the way some keys get lost. I still have three of these projectors but no spare keys (replacing two of them now).

What do you mean? Last time I spoke to apple support I was told for private use you can use one id on up to 5 devices, but if you are school you need separate id's.
