Doubt the snow'll be that deep.

It doesn't need to be that deep in Kent to stuff the roads and railway. As a Yorkshire lass, I find it very frustrating.

Surprisingly we appear to be missing the snow, this time around.

Snow closures represent an opportunity for me.

 

During all of the snow closures since I started working in school I have been able to get in.

 

On those days [without students and staff around] I have been able to do so much more work that on other days.

 

So yes deep joy.

The weatherman on the radio this morning said the snow would be very fine and powdery "rubbish for snowballs", so the teachers will have to come up with an alternative lesson plan. Snowmen won't work either!

 

I don't think it's going to come to that fortunately.

We won't get any. The warning map on the weather forecast last night showed a big yellow patch moving across from West to East but if you looked carefully, it didn't quite make it to the bottom of the country -we are just up from and left a bit from the Isle of Wight

I only had one snow day in all my years of being educated, when I was in Lower 6th/Year 12. As such, I did what all sensible sixth formers do in the event of a snow day and went down Wetherspoons. It was like walking into my school staff room.

 

 

Couple of days of light covering here but not enough to cause any drama, not like last December. Actually quite relieved... snow makes the hour's journey even scarier, and if school closed and I stayed home I'd be expected to help pack everything up in preparation for the building work at home. No rest for the wicked!

Mine had too much of a good thing last year with snow... both are fervently hoping it won't

 

I'm hoping it'll hold off long enough for husband's plane to land at Heathrow tomorrow and then snow hard enough to stop me visiting the in-laws on Sunday

So far no snow for me, only freezing windscreen washers that turn to ice when I use them and stopping me from removing the frozen traffic film streaking across the windscreen.

Good few inches here. Just been out for a drive to the main road though, it's doable. Damn cold though, and difficult to get around an abandoned van half way up the street!

Well I've just looked out my window and we've got a good 4-5 inches of snow sitting outside. Now the question is, is it staying until tomorrow or melting??

Bah! Nothing here. It 'snowed' ice yesterday, and now it's very foggy. We took the kids to Clitheroe yesterday, at least they had snow

We have about an inch of snow - which compared to last year's 12 is nout!

Just been watching Sky News and if you were watching it you would think again about buying a BMW.

 

Most of the cars that were stranded in the video clips were fairly new BMW's. At one point there were 3 of them in a row just off a hard shoulder!
