I'm shocked... thats probably the most basic of web design rules broken. I love this bit... An admirable approach but the results are normally awful The websites the year 7's do in Word arnt much worse than that Double LOL at kestrel1's though..wow

This One isn't much better, luckily it's not one of mine, but I did consider offering to redo it for them - check out the scripts from Dynamic Drive (especially the No Right Click script, which I find infuriating as I click the scroll wheel to scroll [rather than scrolling it] - which triggers the script in FF!). SideWinder - If you let the ones who do computing and know more than the teacher (sometimes not hard ) then you should be OK! HalfMad's was done by year sixes!!

It is real rubbish. A very bad advert for the school. & I am glad to say, I had nothing to do with it. opened it in Firefox, adblock wants to remove half the site I hate sites that link to word documents! that's OK for intranet sites but.. not for external ones surely!

So much for browser compatibility

Love the use of the marquee tag, high resolution thumbnails and the highly optimised code with even less title tag than anywhere else! The pinky-purple scroll bar is a touch of class too. Voted 'oh god my eyes'. Also regarding the other awful site posted here: Especially like the golden duck race link! It even links off to a myspace!

The images are a reasonably decent size, so there is unlikely to be any complaints about it. As long as it works for the end users (hopefully in all common browsers), thats all thats really important at the end of the day isn't it? One thing I did notice though is that the text is slighty distorted (not just the titles)... I'm guessing due to compression of the image or the image being slighty resized.

Many of our kids have found that whatever they do in the html program(NVu) is not necessarily how it will come out in Internet Explorer. Therefore, by just creating an image, you are almost guaranteeing that it will look exactly how you want it to look without the need for Div boxes and the like.
