'A better place' refers to recovery from a long spell of Sarcoidosis and associated drugs.

Carry on with the hobnob eating chap/chapesses!! (Not that I'm calling you out, or anything, witch!!!) So you can't get drunk on Hobnobs then....
witch Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 So you can't get drunk on Hobnobs then.... No, but you can get a 'hobnob high' where you are found slumped in a corner, glassy-eyed and giggling, surrounded by crumbs..
teejay Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 @witch LOL Get's even more serious when you're a HobNob addict and the standard high isn't enough, so you start scraping the crumbs into a line and rolling up a £10 note..

soapyfish Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 I think you can have as many as you like without ever taking the last 1
CESIL Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 No, but you can get a 'hobnob high' where you are found slumped in a corner, glassy-eyed and giggling, surrounded by crumbs.. Damn...I thought nobody spotted me...
Dos_Box Posted November 17, 2011 Author Posted November 17, 2011 6 hobnobs is about 1500 calories. Daily recommended intake for a man is approx 2500 calories.....doesn't leave a lot, does it! Hang on, a Big Mac 'only' has 490 calories. Are you saying I could have had 3 Big Macs and still have been better off?!! Source: How many calories are in the BIG MAC *And I'm taking MacDonalds answer here. Because it's the lower amount.

featured_spectre Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 1 hobnob biscuit weights 14g according to my digital scales (well 14.23g but I rounded down) 100g of hobnobs contain 467 calories 7 hobnobs = just a shade under 100g As such 7 hobnobs = 467 calories. The average pack contains 20 hobnobs As such 1 pack of hobnobs = 1331 calories. You could eat 2 big mac's and be better off rather than eating a whole pack of hobnobs Also think of the fact that 1 big mac contain far more protein than a whole pack of hobnobs so in actual fact they are better for you than hobnobs!

aerospacemango Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 Well that's my dinner sorted for tonight! OH is working till 8 Lucky you! Some of us don't have a McD's within 10 miles of home! However, that's only for another 12 days!!!
EduTech Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 ..before it's classed as greedy? I've just had 6 Hobnobs (plain, not chocolate) and feeling a little guilty. ;-) I am not bringing you any more!! LOL James.
teejay Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 Lucky you! Some of us don't have a McD's within 10 miles of home! However, that's only for another 12 days!!! Though that'd be a bonus not having a chav filling station within 10 miles:getmecoat:
aerospacemango Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 Though that'd be a bonus not having a chav filling station within 10 miles:getmecoat: That, it is! But there are times when only a Big Mac will do!! I used to work in one, back in the days of 11am opening, and no salads (1985 to be precise!) and it still amazes me that I would go in one to begin with, let alone eat..... But it's the Big Mac sauce that's got me!! Altogether now... 2 all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions, on a sesame seed bun! If you could say that inside 5 seconds, you won a free Big Mac! That's how long ago it was!
john Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 Lucky you! Some of us don't have a McD's within 10 miles of home! However, that's only for another 12 days!!! No McD's near me, however I do have a Little Chef just 1 mile away and yes I have partaken of food from it a time or two when too lazy to cook I do miss Astro-Burgers though from my little person days As for biscuits, I've munched most of the 3 packs of Jaffa Cakes in the last 36hrs Whoops!
TheScarfedOne Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 Thats a serious mission on Jaffa Cakes! Shhhhh, dont tell @GrumbleDook about there being any chocolate around :-p
