apearce Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Is the 2.0TDi 190? Thought that was the 2.7? Nice interior spec though, an electronic handbrake would confuse the hell out of me though! Cheers - Audi changed their engines for the A5 - they dont do the 1.8TDI anymore
john Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Alex its a diesel VAG it will be fine, I drove with mine (not that Audi, soooo fancy stealing your Audi now mmmmm but I should be sensible and get a 4x4 this time so I can get to work in the snow....) on for 4 days then chickened out and filled up, glad I did as I put 54ltrs in and its only a 55ltr tank so that was a good move! Wouldn't chance it that tight again, but my local garage had sold out of Diesel the silly people never mind 150bhp of fun and 60mpg can't argue with that
Daniel_Son Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 I replaced my ageing Ford Puma with a 54plate Seat Leon Curpa TDi in black. It's fantastic to drive and a hell of a lot more economical. I'm now filling up twice a month, rather than 4 times. Also, just checked road tax change in April Puma would have been £205 Leon is £125 Nice car mate Always been a fan of these
Chris_in_notts Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 Yup - occasionally - they're great - so underrated just because Barbie had one apparently:cool: thing is they're only half the weight of a landrover so where big 4x4s sink in the mud, Suzis skim over the top. When I bought it the freewheeling hubs were knackered so Dad and I popped down to the scrapyard and picked up a couple of fixed ones (for £3) and fitted them instead. Tested our handywork in a disused quarry - in low range it's damn near unstoppable! When it snowed my OH's grown up kids suddenly stopped ridiculing it and weren't embarassed to be seen in it anymore - seeing as it was the only vehicle on the street that could get off the drive SJ's shouldnt be used for off roading they should be used for lowriding haha good times
MatthewL Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 I've just bought an 08 plate Ibiza 1.9 TDI 130BHP FR to replace my 1.4 Seat Leon S, picking her up tomorrow, cannot wait.
Dos_Box Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 I've just got one of these: http://images.automotive.com/reviews/images/02lexusrx300.jpg Just got to get it gas converted now!

mac_shinobi Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 Had my car a week now 2002 Ford Ka 1.3 At least Im not the only one - I've got a 1.4i nissan almera 99 reg - could be a lot better on fuel considering its a 1.4
jimmy_2k Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 Citroen Xsara 1.4, Cheap as chips as it was someones trade in and the dealer couldn't wait to get shot of it. Spent £500 in repairs though as the last owner didn't do anything, interior is immaculate, can't say much about the bodywork. Someone scratched the driver and rear passenger doors in the supermarket carpark this morning. Oh well, this is why I won't buy a brand new car!
DSapseid Posted June 6, 2011 Posted June 6, 2011 I changed my car over the half term period. Now got an 09 plate Honda Civic Type R 1
john Posted June 6, 2011 Posted June 6, 2011 I changed my car over the half term period. Now got an 09 plate Honda Civic Type R I think lots of people did! I changed mine as well but not to a Civic Type R, to a VW Tiguan Sport
teejay Posted June 6, 2011 Posted June 6, 2011 Yep, changed mine as well, ended up with a brand new Skoda Octavia Estate, it was cheaper buying it new than buying the same model 3 years old
JonWPS Posted June 6, 2011 Posted June 6, 2011 2007 Audi A3 1.6l Had it about a year now, only 35k on the clock and still feels like new. Previously had a 1.3l 2001 Fiesta.
Midnight Posted June 6, 2011 Posted June 6, 2011 Still got my 1984 XR3i Soft Top. Just gone straight through 'another' MOT ;-) It's just a shame that the road tax costs more than the insurance!! :-0
Sylv3r Posted June 6, 2011 Posted June 6, 2011 I ordered an Audi A4 in March - still waiting for it to be built on the 27th June which should take up too 3 weeks for delivery. I am just going to tell them to keep a hold of it and get it on the new reg plate on the 1st August.
synaesthesia Posted June 6, 2011 Posted June 6, 2011 Still plodding around in my '98 Honda Accord 1.8 Sport. Damned quick and tends to drink the fuel a bit quick around town, but 110,000 miles and still going strong. Never had a fault other than human caused (father in law snapping a wishbone strut when skidding off road, me blowing a speaker when listening to Tiesto a *smidgen* too loud etc). Don't intend to get rid until it does start playing up though. But echoing someones comment before, I'm getting to that age where insurance is around the same price as tax and the car's book price is lower than either!

You could just go to Wolfsberg and collect it and have more fun or go and pick one from the automated tower stacker carpark thing which looks great fun
sted Posted June 7, 2011 Posted June 7, 2011 You could just go to Wolfsberg and collect it and have more fun or go and pick one from the automated tower stacker carpark thing which looks great fun if you just want to see a stacking carpark there is one in leeds (contract parking so you cant put yours there but you can watch it stack cars until you get bored
aerospacemango Posted June 7, 2011 Posted June 7, 2011 Just got a 02plate Saab 95, estate! A dream of a car, with full leather interior. 6CD multichanger in the boot, and a 2.0t engine.... There's nothing like a long journey...whacking the cruise control on, at say 70mph, and sitting back and enjoying the drive! Everything about this car is sweet! And it is the first car I've ever had where the stereo controls are on the steering wheel! (Talk of not being paid enough....I only got it because of help from my Sister!)
mac_shinobi Posted June 7, 2011 Posted June 7, 2011 I changed my car over the half term period. Now got an 09 plate Honda Civic Type R I'm more envious of DSapseid's 09 Honda Civic Type R, looks amazing inside and out 1
