Work shoes.... where from?

Don't really need heavy boots or work-shoes here, but next time I need a pair or two, I'm going to try this place Mens shoes, handmade leather shoes, Italian shoes, Oxford shoes & mens suits at Samuel Windsor

 

My Dad got a couple of pairs a few years ago and they looked and felt quite good. I'm a vanilla size 8, so I'm not too worried about width, depth, height, breadth or length or whatever.

I've been looking at Dr. Martens and they seem decent but a bit expensive.

I might have to take a trip down there at the weekend. My feet have shrunk, along with the rest of my body.

Sketchers seem to last for me, though old army boots last for years.

+1 for Dr Marten's. They take a polish and shine up reasonably well.

 

The other possibility is a good pair of shoes which you can have resoled and reheeled. It depends upon your budget.

they arnt that expensive when you think how long they will last 5-6 years at least works out less than £10 per year

Can't beat a good pair of Vans.

I have POD shoes from Brantano (shoe shop place) but seem to wear out after about 2 years. Not sure how old the current ones are but I do seem to do a few few laps of the school in a day.

 

Watching this thread as need some new shoes, however have to wear suitable work shoes and something that is robust.
