If your still on XP you will need to download it. 1

Thanks Have downloaded some poprtable apps- Notepad++ xampp Firefox JKDefrag Foxit Reader Open office They seem to be good software if you dont want to install programs on individual computers. Have yet to check licenses to see if they are only free for personal use though. 1

But be careful about carrying it when you're not at work. Knives with locking blades are classed as offensive weapons.

mac_shinobi Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 With regards to windows 7 and boot up discs to use with regards to data recovery, bart pe states it does not support win 7 unless they have changed that recently as have not checked for a while, linux live discs although can read ntfs , do not do so fully so may end up corrupting the file system and hence losing data etc so that is an at your own risk kinda deal. Does anyone know any boot disc that you can use to safely recover data that is supported, is there a link to a Win PE disc iso image that you can burn that does multiple things ie test hdd, ram , partitions etc etc

rad Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 I'd say: USB drive, Belkin screwdriver set, and a pen and paper to note everything down you are told. Once settled, start taking note of printers, scanners etc and download drivers when quiet times appear.
