Hightower Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 We tried Badminton, and enjoyed it, but never have the time to do it. We got into camping last year, and try to get away once a month in the warmer months, sometimes 2 or 3 times a month (just for a couple of nights each time). It allows us to relax in each others company, and most campsites offer things to try like badminton, rounders, swimming, drinking (lol).

dwhyte85 Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 Get a PS3 and let her watch you own it up on COD
JoeBloggs Posted January 31, 2011 Author Posted January 31, 2011 How about jumping out of aeroplanes? bit expensive... good thinking though
JoeBloggs Posted January 31, 2011 Author Posted January 31, 2011 Get a PS3 and let her watch you own it up on COD she kept knocking me out on UFC 2011 so I turned it off
LosOjos Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 Get a PS3 and let her watch you own it up on COD I'm fortunate enough to have a missus who doesn't mind watching me play CoD One thing we tend to do is get out and watch live music. We're lucky in that we live near the Robin in Bilston so we can get to see a lot of bands really cheap, but if you live near a city there's bound to be a bar that has gigs on or open mic nights. And don't knock cover bands til you've tried them: they're usually a great laugh
HallX Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 How about jumping out of aeroplanes? How about staying in the seat & learning to fly them!
Lee_K_81 Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 How about a spa weekend? Nice bit of pampering, meal, hotel room..... There goes any macho image I may have had.......
teejay Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 You got a bedroom? That'd be number 1 on my list There are other rooms ya know Anyway: Some good theatres in your area, try a play or even an Opera (yes, I know, I though I'd hate it but went and really enjoyed it, make sure it's a professional performance and not the local amateur dramatics society although some of them are very good!) You've got some great countryside around you, get out there and enjoy it. Why do indoor rock climbing when you've got the real things on your doorstep :-) Archery - you could sign up for a beginners course, usually 6 sessions to see if you like it, compulsory anyway if you want to continue with it. 1
joe90bass Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 How about a spa weekend? Nice bit of pampering, meal, hotel room..... There goes any macho image I may have had....... I bought the missus a spa day a few years back, and thought heck if I'm going to pay for someone to go with her I might as well go myself and enjoy it! And, on the whole I did! Very relaxing! We used to go ballroom/latin dancing. Have a look around, we got lucky the local dance school did a free ten week introduction course. We only stopped going as we moved and the missus is pregnant!

Ours is due Wednesday so i'm on tenderhooks at the moment waiting for the phone to ring!
tech_guy Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 How old are you? If you're the 'right' side of 35 then may I suggest: Adventure, Sports, Social Leisure Group | Meet people and make friends. - Spice UK National Office I did fire-eating & fire-walking with them. It sure beat doing anything else. If you're over 35 then may I suggest joining the ramblers.... 2

There are a few events just for the Under 40's, but otherwise any age is welcome.
rad Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 Adult Education classes are a good way to learn something new. I am currently learning photoshop, ok I could get a book but its easier to learn something by asking also. I have done a sailing theory course and OH is currently doing signlanguage classes.
Singist Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 We've just taken up mountain biking, ties in nicely with the camper van.....there are loads of tracks and trails all over the country...found that it can be quite exhilerating, gets addictive with the accessories that can be bought though :o/
mjs_mjs Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 If you have a wii, wii party is great. but when i was with the ex, we tried all sorts including indoor rock climbing which was great fun.
