I was half expecting to wake up find no Snow and the sun starting to get through!

But no! snow snow everywhere. Guess who hasn't been told about the procedure if the school closes. ME!!! luckly I still live at home (only 21!) and my mum works at the same school so she got a call off a collegue. But if this wasn't the case I would have headed into work found its closed!

Now I can see how we got our Investors In Peolple status!

Sorry for slight rant at least i snow and a chance to catch up on some work at home creating user guides and sorting training material out

Heh! Our Headteacher would want us to come into work even if there was 6ft of snow! Let alone 6 inches!

We had a huge flood in a block in our school a few months ago and she still opened the school. Just closed off that block!

You're earning £100k+ a year, take a day off dammit!

No day off for me! :(

Starting to worry a little here as we are open and most of our pupils have school provided transport. Late transport means a late working day. Someone has to stay behind while waiting for the transport that’s stuck in snow or traffic. With a bit of luck the tranport will leave early and get here on time.

Snowflakes are getting bigger and more numerous now - I'm not sure how long this reporter can broadcast for - it's really coming down now - further reports will follow unless I get buried 8O

All schools in MK closed as well...

... now I'm gutted that I don't work in a school any more... I'm in work today (although not many people are). The joys of working in a remote location... (and yes, it's really remote...)

Voted to stay home today and get on with work here..

Whether the schools are open or closed, I don't fancy my chances on the A1 or the M62 when the usual idiot savant drivers discover their cars don't control so well on snow or slush at 85mph...

well my school is open today however i'm snowed in as i live 10 miles away from it in a village with dodgy access roads and we've got about 3 -4 inches of snow. It's stopped snowing now but has been snowing quite heavily all morning. so i'm sitting at my desk at home watching the snow out of the window whilst doing some work on the school website and starting to build the school intranet site. oh and i've lost my voice as well as i've got a cold and its just started snowing again! :D
