I gritted my street last night (I live at the top of a steep cul-de-sac) so I could get out this morning - de-iced my car and was just about to leave when I got the call Now I've got to take the wife to work

I'm in Lanesfield (Nr Bilston/Coseley) came back from dropping the wife off and the street is covered in Snow already.

GrumbleDook Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 I had a meeting this morning and got a call to say it was off about 5 mins before leaving ... so decided to head of to work ... it to 20 minutes to do 600 yards and then I got a voicemail message ... school closed, so I turn around ans start making my snowline phone calls. Now at home and having some breakfast before getting on with work.

Guest richard Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 Well my boss anbd the site manager have done nothing but take the mick out of as I came in a suit as I didn't know the school was shut and they now want me to build some partition walls for a new office in the library
Irazmus Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 We've got what passes for snow down here in Suffolk (less than 1cm) and to most people's surprise we're still very much open. Having lived a third of my life on the edge of the Yorkshire moors I can't see what the fuss is about.
