rad Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 I have use of (its OH parents) a VW Super Viking camper. Its a little unique being a 6 berth (4 in roof) and an automatic 2 litre engine. Will upload a picture later today.

Just Kampers needs to be in your Bookmarks/favourites. ) I've already spoken to them to look at replacing a couple of things :-) I can't wait to get my hands on it :-) The rust isn't too bad at this point, just a bit under the wheel arches but nothing serious. It had a full bare metal respray about 2 years ago at which point pretty much all the rusty panels were pulled out and replaced. We've paid £7500 for it, but we looked at one last week which was a proper mess and that went on ebay for £6100 so we think we've got a good deal :-)

Although I am curious how something that doesn't work can do 40mph....

Planning our first trip together to the the lakes in August during the summer hols. We would love to own a 21 windowed split screen though, our mission to have one eventually and re-fit to our tastes.
Iain.Faulkner Posted July 5, 2010 Author Posted July 5, 2010 A splitty would be my preferred camper, however it just isn't practical plus the costs involved are outrageous (My all time dream car is a Beetle though :-) ). She (Winifred or "Winnie" for short) is a really nice looking camper. Was given a hefty restore about 3 years ago (including a bare metal respray) and she is very very straight, we've done well (we think) to get her. First trip will hopefully be this weekend, fingers crossed we can pick her up on Thursday and then we're off to Camperjam at Weston Park in Stafford on Friday.
