Are you Certified? What IT Qualifications / Training Do You Have?

BSc Hons Computing Technology, HND Computing technology, Comp TIA+ Networking, CLAIT 1+2. Been supporting upwards of 12 primary schools for LA for the past 3 years. Pretty much self taught with Joomla, Sharepoint and Uniservity. Hoping to recieve further training so I can go for Sharepoint 2010 cert. )

None - Came straight out of school without even an IT gcse went to college where i learn't nout about pc's and then started the job 2 years ago and if i don't know it cant work it out i ask google/edugeek

I've got my MCSA in Windows 2000, but not done anything since, currently studying 70-640 to start my MCITP funded by school, got the books and they will pay for exams.

I progressed as my age/education level allowed me to lol

 

GCSE ICT > AS level ICT > A level ICT > BSc Information Systems + 2 years teaching experience/training.

Self-taught more than I learned on most of those courses too.

 

Now been emplyed 3 years and haven't had any training that wasn't free (or very cheap!).

I want to do some MS Cert's but work wont pay for it and on the wage I get from this place there's

no way I can afford to do it myself

Self taught A+ (got the text book, read it, took the exams), GCSE IT...which obviously counts for a lot . Been working as an IT Technician in a primary school since the end of November (although employed as a teaching assistant). Degree was in Biology.

Academic: GCSEs (no IT though) > BTEC ND in Computing > BSc (Hons) Computer Science > MSc Computer Science

Professional: MCSA + Messaging, MCTS Server 2008 AD Config, MCTS Server 2008 Network Infrastructure Configuration, MCTS Server 2008 Applications Infrastructure Configuration, MCTS Windows 7, MCTS Vista. Will prob sit exam next week to take me up to MCTS Enterprise Admin.

I have a B.S. in Information Systems. I receive the basics in most areas of IT, so that I can be prepared for any career I would I pursue in IT.

 

I never thought I would go into help desk but here I am. It's funny how you can think, you might not be interested in field until you actually do it. I'm actually pretty interested in it right now.

I've got an IT/Computer Related degree... I graduated 25 years ago and started on punch cards. The first (DOS) PCs came into Lancaster University in my final year; before that it was George 3, VAX and PDP/11.

 

So my degree is almost entirely irrelevant now! In terms of the job I do now, I'm self-taught with the odd course thrown in
