Yes there are countless websites with instructions on but I am after a dumb / stupid / moron guide - [ you know how thick I am ] on how to make one. If you can point me to some sites that you have either used or know of then do your duty !!

But it's a pretty time consuming recipe - all of the dishes are made from a base sauce that needs quite a lot of preparation.

If you want to make an authentic curry you'll need to buy quite a few spices. I guess it depends how simple or complex you want to make it. After a bit of practice you'll be able to chop and change your spice mix to make all sorts of different curries. Can you tell I'm a bit of a curry fiend..? lol.

Not a problem, I live 5 miles from Southall. Get all my spices and other bits and bobs there. Love the place.

Depends on whether you like him or not but the Jamie Oliver's Ministry book has a fair few very easy curries in. Otherwise some of the new curry sauces with spice pots are good. Fry up meat with spices, add sauce & cook for a bit & either boil up rice separately or bung in with sauce and a bit more water.

 

I'll dig out my easy curry book that allowed me to bang out a veg curry in 20 mins that managed to satisfy my militant veggie, curry mad Dad. He thought I'd ordered it in!

Cheat, but with style: Sainsbury's sell handy all-in-one curry-spice kits, with each seperate spice in its own small blister pack, complete with step-by-step instructions on the back.

I get my curries for home cooking here, seriously good stuff.
