synaesthesia Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 (edited) I used to be able to keep up with all this guff, but you younguns are way ahead these days Core2Quad e6600 Asus P5ke-WiFi Sapphire ATI 5770 Samsung 1TB F1 Samsung 1TB F3 Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeMusic (recapped & modded opamp) All kept together in an Antec 300 case. Got given a Geforce GTX285 as an RMA replacement for a dead 8800GT (cheers, BFG!) but it didn't fit in my new case! Shame as only a couple of weeks earlier had given away my Coolermaster Stacker ubercase to another fella from here Gone are the days are having enough fans to power 10,000 houses, noise levels that have the neighbours complaining and semi-liquid cooling systems ripped from other devices. Going back - dunno how long now - when where Dreamcasts the big thing? Found one in a road (!) on the way to work so picked up it, found it was the jap version. Transplanted (dodgily, mind!) the internal liquid cooling system for the cooling on my then top of the range TNT2 graphics card Just heatpipes really but it works rather happily Edited December 11, 2009 by synaesthesia
