I've just checked our forecast, but am relieved to see that Kent's going to escape this time... 1.5 inches of rain on Friday was not good... the sewer blocked and all the kids got sent home. We stayed.

Then again there is me saying that and its a warning for us over the border as well! Never mind my Office is high enough up, the Server room is also not that bad tbh, so long as the roof doesn't leak over it we will be fine (or the sewers back up seen as it backs onto the gents loo's)

Having heard about the predicted 15cm of rain, I can only sympathise with those of you up North and hope you don't get washed away. I just can't imagine that volume of rain :(

We have 25mph winds this morning and a bit of rain - but our forecast is quite good for the next few days - feel for you drowning guys

Well I cycled in. How nails is that?

Headwind all the way, I normally hold 20mph on one stretch of flat, but this morning I was standing up cranking the pedals doing 14mph.

I should be able to catch the jetstream on the way home, though.

I've got some excellent wet weather gear, so it was OK.

Same here but got swampped by a lorry, it was like a tidal wave when it hit me. Thank goodness for good waterproofs. Rest of my kit stinking out the office as it drys on our rad.

Well lets see, the roof DIDN'T leak! Amazing, normally we would have expected a huge flood in 3 areas with this much rain but not even a drip!, had a pool in the new building as it usually does as the path slopes a bit the wrong way tbh, tunnel from Bus drop off point to our site was under about 1ft of water so students crossing the road, and the river by the edge of campus was washing onto the path next to it so thats a bit too high and getting a bit close for comfort, other than that not too badder day
