DMcCoy Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 Temperature averages around 20-21, moving between 18-23 depending on when the external unit kicks in. Its a 14kw unit so its not had any issues with the heat yet. Unfortunatley the servers are partitioned off so it doesn't affect the temp in my side of the office!
ChrisC Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 We're having a 5kw air con unit installed tomorrow, it's about 5x5m with 2 servers with UPS-es, 5 stations and a printer running. but the problem is, today the bearings have gone in one of our server's fans. Am having a replacement shipped out though, they said,why do you think it's the bearings, "well, it's going very fast, very loudly, with a bit of a clanking clickey sound, it's still sucking in air though... I mean I can pick up the phone in the other room and let you hear it if you want..." "no, that's fine, i'll just fill out all these questions for you" hehehe It's going so loud that it's imposible to be on the phone in here!!! Chris
