tech_guy Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 To alleviate the boredom of being the only one here in the college and to block the mental image of loads of ruddy teachers sunbathing on the bleedin' beaches of Benidorm, here's my list of the top ten saddest TV shows on TV in the UK. Feel free to argue! BIG Brother I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here House The Office (UK Version) Neighbours Ant 'n' Dec (whatever it is they're in) CSI Judge John Deed WipeOut USA The Vicar of Dibley

tech_guy Posted May 28, 2009 Author Posted May 28, 2009 Oh, yes, thanks for reminding me, Witch. I forgot that gold-plated plonker Ross.
Mandy Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 1. Yakeshis Castle (Howevers it's spelt!) 2. Animals Do The Funniest Things 3. Songs of Praise 4. Katie + Peter 5. Hells Kitchen - The one with Marco 6. Cribs 7. Pimp My Ride 8. Emmerdale 9. Murder She Wrote 10. Golden Balls

Maybe if LiveTV was still on cable... *mmm topless darts* I like 24 if I'm in the right mood for it. Also watch bones, NCIS, numbers, prison break and the mentalist

Hells Kitchen - The one with Marco 6. Cribs 7. Pimp My Ride 8. Emmerdale 9. Murder She Wrote 10. Golden Balls I'm sorry Mandy, but Takeshi's Castle & Pimp my Ride (US Version) do not belong in your list. They're ace shows!
Fridge Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 i agree with tech on that one Pimp my ride UK with westwood needs to die in a fire but takeshis castle and the US version are well good. How can you not enjoy japanese people making fools of them selves.
elloyd69 Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Hey, I'm a teacher and I'm not sunbathing in Benidorm!! I am in fact in school...........boo!! Totally agree with your point about TV though.........can't name one good thing worth watching at the moment. The sooner BGT finishes the better!! I can't bear it any longer..................
Mandy Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 I'm sorry Mandy, but Takeshi's Castle & Pimp my Ride (US Version) do not belong in your list. They're ace shows! They are truely awful - so un entertaining watching chinese people running around fighting for coloured balls to qualify to make tw*ts of themselves! Not my idea of entertainment!!
Hightower Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 I actually like the Wipe out USA show - it's so much better than the UK version because they change the layout every week (plus it has got over hyped yanks on to laugh at). I also really really like Ant n Dec as presenters. I think they are the best presenters on telly at the moment. Yes, they might be cheesy, but don't you think they know that - that's the whole point.
pauljonze Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 In no particular order: Hollyoaks Waterloo Road Eastenders Emmerdale Coronation Street Holby Neighbours Heartbeat My Family Songs of Praise Dancing on X-Factor Jeremy Kyle Trisha Location, location etc. Any makeover show Anything on MTV And yes that's more than 10 - oops it's all sh*te
WStore_Dan Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 8 Justin Lee whatsisface anything No way - bringing back the A-team was superb! Also the shows he did where he had very little time to become good at things like being a clown, being a darts player etc I thought were also very funny. Dont like his show though and dont like the show he did with Alan Carr but the ones I listed above were very funny! Just my opinion obviously! :)
Heebeejeebee Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Wouldn't know as I don't own a televsion Don't bother getting one either. It's all crap at the moment. Bah!! Mind you looking back a few years .... nope - can't think of anything - it was crap then too! HBJB
DrPerceptron Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Most Sit-Coms. Any Soap Anything that involves B-list celebrities Anything that involves the public of any nation - even more so when kids are involved The News. "popular repeats" - you know, the one's that are *always* repeated. morning/daytime chat shows the tasteless drivel that interupts my viewing of SBSP on saturdays (saturday/sunday kids presenters and the utterly s$£*e they throw out. I think that covers about 3/4 of TV, I don't think I watch the other 1/4 much...
TekkyMatt Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 1:Big Brother 2:Big Brother 3:Anything to do with decorating houses 4:Coronation Street 5:Emerdale 6:Eastenders 7:Anything with celeberity in the title 8:Anything with kitchen in the title 9:Anything and everything written by Russell T Davis 10:POB (i know its not on anymore, and some people feel nostalgic about it, but it really was absolute pants) Might have gone a little over my 10 quota there but I've had a bad day. A bad bad day.
mossj Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 House does not belong on that list or at least the older series don't. 1 Any reality show 2 BBC News 24 (after watching more than 10 minutes within a 12 hour window) 3 Anything with Justin Lee Collins in it 4 Soaps in general 5 Music Channels (barring for background noise) 6 Takeshi's Castle 7 Anything with celebrities I couldn't care less about.. (IE Katie & Peter, Jade Goody) well thats all I can come up with P.S Shows that ROCK.... House, X-Files, older CSI, NCIS, Stargate, Scrubs, Two and a Half Men, Monk, Have I Got News For You, Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Q.I, Family Guy, American Dad, Star Trek
laserblazer Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Coast was quite interesting first time around but Nicholas Crane must be getting dizzy the number of times he's been round!!!
Fridge Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Wouldn't know as I don't own a televsion I need to have a TV! Playing my PC games on a screen smaller than 42" would make the world implode
ButterflyMoon Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Got to be 1 Big Brother 2 Anything with Alan Carr in 3 Jeremy Kyle 4 Corrie 5 Deal or no deal with the insufferable Noel Edmonds 6 Pimp my ride (UK version) 7 Emerdale 8 Have I got news for you 9 Anything with Rowan Atkinson in 10 Midsummer Murders (who would want to live there???)
