Just wondering who is using wireless mics (for shows, presentations, etc) within schools?? If so what kind of license are you using them with?? I'd be grateful for any advice.

You could try Novatech.....email them and see what they can do.......we get a lot of stuff from them.

Write a section into the staff AUP too........to ensure they bring laptops in and connect to network at regular intervals for 'security updates'......make sure all staff sign the AUP. They then have it in writing. Hopefully this will help and they will 'be required to' bring them in..........

Is anyone else having any issues with Policy Central at the moment?? Having real issues deleting computers and adding new computers (having had a new ICT room over the hols)......won't connect with Active Directory (SQL issue)..........been at it all afternoon.......its driving me mad now!!!! It doesn't seem to want to do anything I ask it!!

Haha.......I do think we are.....didnt go to the presentation but we have bought in and are awaiting a reply from Uniservity (we paid/completed forms, etc before summer hols)........I'll PM you laserblazer!!

Well I'm in a middle school and still waiting for Uniservity to get back to us.........we've filled in all the forms and paid........but nothing yet!! Our pyramid is going for Uniservity too.........hopefully without too many issues.....

Completely agree.........I am currently writing our staff AUP and laptop use policy.........if they refuse to sign then they shouldn't be allowed access to the network.........in the same way the kids aren't allowed access until they sign and return their AUP.......... I'm using the edugeek wiki on school policies to help write mine..........basic but very useful.

Get a binary clock...............they are amazing!! Got one for the head of IT as a birthday present and have even foxed the PAT guys with it this week!! "What does this device do??"................most frequently heard comment about it.........followed by an explanation of how it works to just about every member of staff!! Great fun
