The plot is rubbish a bit like lost, who in there right mind would have keep the camcorder going?

pscott Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 IF you like sword play, Azumi is a must watch It also has some of the best fight scene's I have ever seen, and the camera work was the test bed for matrix (as how the camera moves, not bullet time)

District b13 is an amazing film aswell but thats hard to get hold of as its originaly french
unixman Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 For great girl fight scenes, anything by Russ Meyer, especially "Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill!". For great xxx scenes, any of the Ilsa series (banned here in Blighty but you can get them on Amazon.com). The best action films are often said to be those by Bruce Lee, although Carter Huang runs a close second. Personally I prefer samurai films like the "Lone Wolf and Cub" series; number four Lone Wolf and Cub: In Peril is my favourite. The master of samurai films is, of course, Akira Kurosawa. I can highly recommend any of his films.

Saw one recently that has not been getting a lot of attention: 2012 That is the title "2012" Starts slow but once it picks up it is powerful action/drama. Watched it the other night with family, high definition home theatre. (When I burn a movie I usually boost the audio a bit, so when it plays on home theatre speakers the effects sounds are a dialed up slightly.) So I put this one in, and when the action really got going, everyone in my family was locked on, mesmerized. (Family includes my folks or inlaws - sometimes we invite them over for dinner or a weekend we might be busy, and in the evenings, we may all kick back for a film.) That is one of the best things for me, when I have seen a film and like it, then recommend it for my family and they all sit down for it, and become captivated. Can't explain it, but I love when that happens. .
