  8. Hmm, Jaymate I was filled with hope when I read your post saying you had resolved it. That was of course until I went to do the same thing and discovered we have no 'enhancements' tab. Back to square one for us then. Anyone any other ideas?
  9. seems to run quite well
  10. Hi, Im looking to do something interesting here and i'm wondering if any of you guys can help me. Basically i have a user on our network that placed about 8gb of .tmp files on her roaming desktop. She wondered why everywhere she went it took around 20 mins to login! Anyway she had been putting up with it for ages thinking it was normal. Eventually she came to me - i deleted the .tmp files from the documents and settings folder on the local machine and on the server - i then deleted the files from every other client she could remember logging on to as it was syncing the profile back to the server. I have tried and failed three times now to get rid of the local profile on all the machines she 'thinks' she has been on. What im looking for is a way to scour every c: of every client on the network and return a list of results where her profile is located under documents and settings. Any ideas guys? Thanks Chris
  11. I have a copy of Serif Movie Plus x3 on my desk, am about to install it and have a look. Is this the latest version? 60 concurrent users probably would suffice for us too. Does the Serif product have a good set of built in transitions and effects?
  12. Hi guys, We, for many years now, have been using windows movie maker in order to do all video editing in school. However all of our cameras now record in mp4 format onto SD cards. This means that all the pupils/staff have to run their files through a converter first which is time consuming and also causes space wasting on the network. We also have problems with movie maker - we find that it will regularly crash if a user has got files in their collection that have long, complicated files or a file name with symbols such as underscores in it (regularly found on the net). So.... we need to find some software that is stable to run on both xp and vista and also is relatively cheap. Ideally we wouldnt want less functionality than movie maker (shouldnt be difficult). We would like it to have the ease of movie maker with the possibility of slightly more advanced stuff for the more ambitious kids and staff. What are you guys using? What do you recommend? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
