FN-GM Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 I think this is going over the top abit... Rail Couples Told 'No Kissing' At Station - Yahoo! News UK
localzuk Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 Nice. You can tell a beaurocrat thought this up...
Edu-IT Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 Nonsense. Some people have nothing better to do than think up this rubbish.
eejit Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 "If lovers want to smooch, they have to do so in the designated kissing area situated nearby."
EduTech Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 "If lovers want to smooch, they have to do so in the designated kissing area situated nearby." Let's hope they put more effort into making it more pretty unlike the designated fag errors
mac_shinobi Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 wasn't like that couple who got caught at it doing it on the beach and got put into prison ? ok so my example is a bit more extreme but hey lol
powdarrmonkey Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 wasn't like that couple who got caught at it doing it on the beach and got put into prison ? ok so my example is a bit more extreme but hey lol That was in Saudi Arabia, not the UK. This is just pathetic. If people miss their taxis because they're too busy being engrossed in each other, so be it. They'll have to learn to a) pay attention b) walk.
john Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 Let's hope they put more effort into making it more pretty unlike the designated fag errors Fag areas should be dank i'm afraid to discourage people from taking up the habbit especially you James Ur a ikkle guy so shouldn't be doing it U should be enjoying the orange smarties lol The romance areas will be all soft and squishy and pink and floral lol
powdarrmonkey Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 The romance areas will be all soft and squishy and pink and floral lol That might backfire if the involved parties are particularly... enthusiastic
sparkeh Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 FFS. Here's an idea, why not have a 'No thinking' area where we all just blindly follow the signs. When the train stops you follow the 'Stand up' and 'Put on coat' signs, then the 'Walk to door', 'Open train door' and 'Step off train' signs.
srochford Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 What a load of killjoys :-) Surely, the whole thing is being done to get a bit of publicity for Warrington and Virgin Trains. No-one is actually being stopped from kissing; no-one will even care. It's classic of "Daily Mail" type attitudes that we assume the world is out to get us! When someone vaguely official does something like this we can't see that they're just trying to lighten the mood (and, frankly, if you're at Warrington Bank Quay then the mood probably needs lightening!)
sparkeh Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 They're just taking the kiss! Not sure if that deserves negative or positive rep
webman Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Not sure if that deserves negative or positive rep No need to make a snog and dance about it 1
john Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 BBC News this morning had an even better take on it, due to the style of signs they had suggestion that men cannot kiss if they are wearing hats and no kissing ladies wearing curlers in there hair, and then another was it depicts a lady and a gent kissing so nothing to stop 2 lady's or 2 gents kissing then lol
Anon Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 ah, another stupid sign I'm going to pay no attention to whatsoever. I want to see someone enforce this sign. I assume they will be on guard with a bucket of cold water if anyone dares to show affection outside of the designated areas.
webman Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 I want to see someone enforce this sign. I assume they will be on guard with a bucket of cold water if anyone dares to show affection outside of the designated areas. Yeah. I'd give them a good tongue-lashing!
Oops_my_bad Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 (edited) Typical Warrington - they should be more worried about [edited: "other problems"] than kissing in the car park... If they want to address the congestion problems either build a bigger car park or stop the council from doling out taxi licences like toffee pennies! Thank god I don't have to rely on the pitiful train service.. Edited February 24, 2009 by Diello Edited for content
