AMD Athlon 64 X2 2.26Ghz 2 gig ram and Vista business built by previous technician

14" Widescreen monitor only though.

Hopefully will be upgraded this year if I can persuade them that I need something more powerful :D

Self-build Celeron 336, 1GB RAM, 80 + 20GB HD, FX5500 Video, two monitors.

Anything more powerful is totally pointless for network admin. I'd rather spend the money on resources for students.

Hand built...

i wish i could build my own. Got a E8400 with 4GB ram, seperate GFX card... but its just sooooo slow. Im not surew what Stone do to their computers but they are never as fast as they should be. My E6750 with 2GB ram is far far faster and never suffers from hangs and crashes like my work one does.

At the moment just got a RM Expert 3030 Core 2 Quad Q9400 @ 2.66Ghz with 4GB RAM and A WD Raptor 36Gb 10krpm Disk. Performance is sprightly!

Just need to upgrade the fiber here to gigabit now for ultimate performance!

Also just realised that it has dual monitors built in so will be setting up another 19" widescreen later to make 2 x 19" widescreens!

Usually the server which is just a normal Celeron 2GHz with a 60GB hard drive with 512MB RAM (1GB if I've managed to twist the school's arm :) ).

After 7 years, I just asked my head yesterday if I could have my own laptop next year!
