Fortunately no-one I know was on the list. No-one I thought to search for anyway.

 

Unfortunately, my name was. Luckily it's a relatively common name and they live a reasonable distance from me. Sort of the same city, but I'm central while they are officially in a town on the border.

 

Things like that are why I'm against the leak. Naming and shaming is all fine and good, but innocent people will be mistaken. I've heard of one very liberal guy who works in a university research lab in a very ethically diverse area with a fairly uncommon name unlucky enough to share it with some idiot in the same town who is a member.

Either we afford all idiots the right to stand up and be heard or we do away with free speech all together and resign ourselves to live in the non democracy that affords little or no choice in political views. If this had been a "respectable" party then there would be all sorts of chickens flapping around squawking about terrorists and such like.

 

As it is there is a real possibility of people getting hurt simply for belonging to a political group that follows an ideology that the current state (quite rightly) does not like. Unfortunately you need people that stand up and say things that other parties cannot. Who win seats in councils to show the powers at be that there are real problems out there and that they cannot just be swept under the carpet because the current leadership thinks such things don't really exist under the current socialist state. Just because the things they stand for are distasteful does not mean that they should be silenced by any means possible.

 

I am not in any way in favour of any political party, but I damn well don't support those that censor free speech in the name of our safety.

The right to free speech gives you the right to talk, not to be listened to. If everyone ignores them, no-one is taking their right away.

 

Publishing this list is nothing more than that - a published list. If someone acts on it, protesting about someone's involvement (in a legal manner) then again, they are simply engaging in free speech. No-one is required to listen...

 

So long as people don't do illegal things to these people, I see no problems.

This is outrageous. I in no way support the BNP or it's views but to have this list published is awful.

I heard an interview on the BBC with Nick Griffin this morning, and he said that the list did start off as true, some of the entries on it are not BNP members.

 

As with all 'truths' on the Internet, a large pinch of salt is needed!!

 

There may well be some innocent folks on there who this ex BNP exec memeber has got it in for.

The BNP is just a cheesy 'political organisation.' However isn't it every persons right to free speech? Despite what others may think of certain persons pathetic views, everyone has a right.

 

If there good at their job and its not affecting work why sack? Most definately political views should not be bought into work place.

I think their website just is pure cheese. But each to their own. Half the stuff they put on their, you gotta be pretty thick to actually read into it.. Dr's? Make your own political organistion, I can't believe people associate with a bunch of racist nutters. End of the day were all human, we live on the planet, advanced apes, get over it! Country? Does it matter...If you back far enough we were all from Africa anyway.

 

Make me leader ill sort all ur problems. Free gold for everyone!! We will all work together and be paid equally to make for a happier society. Of course the women shall no longer work and should be at home washing the dishes, looking after children and making the man dinner.
