LeMarchand Posted Friday at 09:41 Posted Friday at 09:41 https://www.amazon.co.uk/Apple-iPad-11-inch-Display-All-Day/dp/B0DZ77X9FQ £329 inc VAT seems a way better deal than I can find through normal channels, but how to get them added to ASM? How does the warranty situation work? I'm assuming you can get MDM licenses without buying kit.
DalekSec Posted Friday at 09:44 Posted Friday at 09:44 We buy ours refurb via BackMarket, onboard to ABM(ASM) via AC2 on a Mac, Warranty is the one we get via BackMarket 1
Steve21 Posted Friday at 09:46 Posted Friday at 09:46 You can use configurator via iphone/mac to add them into ASM - It's just they have a 30-day window in which they can be removed from ASM rather than locking instantly so need to be aware of that option in the settings (or try not to give them out instantly :P) And yes any MDM can be bought separately to the devices just may cost slightly more as sometimes you get discount as a bundle Steve 1

No iPhone or Mac. Unless an iPhone 4(?) is up to the task.

LeMarchand Posted Friday at 10:05 Author Posted Friday at 10:05 Hmmmm... Might have a "cracked screen" device at a different school that I could use.

Can you get refurbs onto ASM? Yeap, I brought 40 odd from Re-com (affiliated with Green recycling) and had no issues so far though still have a few to setup. Used to buy new but the £80-90 price increase was hard to justify when can get 9th Gen refurbed for £129 and in my case got stm dux plus cases as a free bonus. Had got a quote for new with our regular supplier but told them I just wanted the licenses. Edited Friday at 10:46 by Dan2025 1

synaesthesia Posted Friday at 12:44 Posted Friday at 12:44 Re refurbs & ASM - you have to be absolutely sure they've been released from the previous organisation so stick with trusted suppliers for refurbs and ask that question. Most will just replace without question but just worth showing due diligence there. The process of enrolling them with mac though is horrid 1

We've had a few slip through the cracks, but we maintain links with the original orgs for just this situation. In all cases, we've been able to get them removed from their OG org in a few hours 1
