technikerinunbekannt Posted September 11 Posted September 11 Hello All, I'm not keen on using the likes of Amazon, so I was wondering if people had preferred suppliers for their everyday things. I mean cables, keyboards, mice et cetera. All the usual little things rather than PCs and servers. I use CPC, but I'm looking to broaden my horizons.

AMC have been rock solid, Makingitgreen\Bentham for consistent refurbished stock, BlackOwl have been good for everything else 1
Fazza Posted September 11 Posted September 11 We use Plan-IT, MISCO and Panacea for a lot of sundries, consumables, cables, power adapters, laptop screens, USB keyboards, USB mice, Ethernet Leads, HDMI cables etc as well as the normal big box items like Laptops etc. 1
paulellam Posted September 11 Posted September 11 CPC are fab for all things great pricing and fast delivery! 2
aydee Posted September 11 Posted September 11 (edited) Kenable are my go to. Absolutley reliable in terms of stock accuracy and product ranges. They have their own brand of pretty much every cable or adapter so prices are really good. and ive never had a cable fail even after 5 years so far. https://www.kenable.co.uk/ Edited September 11 by aydee 1
Rob_D Posted September 11 Posted September 11 I like the softcat ecat portal for getting quick prices for random bits. And they can set you up so you submit orders and your finance/bursar has a logon to authorize the order. Or you can just turn your shopping basket into a quote. 1
ICTDirect_Dave Posted September 11 Posted September 11 +1 for kenable for your cable needs they're brilliant! We should be able to help you with the majority of things, beyond our usual refurbished offering. Speaking of refurb, we should be miles better than the likes of Bentham in terms of quality, consistency of stock, price and after sales support. 1
Synkrox Posted September 11 Posted September 11 Crusader AV | IT & Audio Visual Solutions For All Organisations They make the "unbreakable" headphones which Hills used to do - I've been buying them for years. 2

Going to buy some of these headphones, do you label them or identify them in anyway as planning to give them per student and no stickers "stick" on them?
DavR Posted 12 minutes ago Posted 12 minutes ago We tend to use Kingsfield IT (now morphing into XMA) for our bits and bobs. I'll also use them to quote on bigger projects, sometimes they win, sometimes they don't, but their prices overall tend to be fairly keen. The key thing for us has been having a good relationship with the account manager, and generally getting a same day response when we ask for prices or recommendations. Efficiency counts for a lot when you're just trying to get a job done. That said, our account manager is changing so we'll see what the new guy is like.
