We have found that the easiest way for us, is a memory stick, into a A>C adapter which i can then plug into any android phone and install it from within settings. I can do the local NPS cert and the Smoothwall cert at the same time too so it sppeds up the procces to comparable speeds to the simpler iphone.

We have this on a few random MPF's. Like the jobs appear on the device screen, press release but nothing comes out. But we have only just moved to Hive this summer so we were thinking its a config thing or somthing we havent gotten around to investigating yet. Same as the other guys though, mqqt2 & 3 ping and trace fine; but mtqqt does not.

Hi All, Bumping this to see if anyone else is having their students do the same thing? They have now discovered that they can see any staff members calendar by using this funcionality too! We have turned off Google Calendar int he meantime but unsure of where to go from here; so any help is really appreciated.

Hi All, Considering setting up UBlock Origin as an enforced extention for staff. Do any of you guys do this already? If so, do you have a way to stop it opening tabs on its own when it updates etc like it does for me at home? I would mostly be aiming for Youtube adverts here, but i guess reducing any adverts by even a small amount is worthwile. Thanks!!

West London/Heathrow-ish -
Just pulled 15 (maybe up to 18, need to go and check) Unifi NanoHD's out of a primary school. I know they have been used for many years, and are only Wifi 5, but if anyone wants to expand their stock or existing deployment, let me know. Not allowed to sell them via school, so giving them away here for free to save the WEEE bin getting them. (shipping costs need to be covered though.)

What WiDi alternatives are you using?
aydee replied to Cardinal98's topic in AV and Multimedia Related
Are you using these in classrooms or like a Hall/Gym etc? They arnt crazy priced and I have a good few ideas if they seem reliable and are compatible with ChromeOS/Chromebooks as well as Windows? -
If its in our Google tennancy, its getting backed up!! Staff, Students, Peri's, Service Accounts, Email Groups all of it I havent really looked into it too much, as We are not close to filling the quota we have space wise, so I dont even know if you can be selective or not to be honest. We also back up our servers to it too, to have a cloud copy of the data.

We use Redstor, which once you give it API Access to GOogle, will backup all User data. Drive, Gmail, Contacts, classroom etc. I guess it depends on how many users and or data you have with data retention costs.

Yeah, what supprised me, is even with our 3100's, which were 2020 purchases, they have only 200 Cycles, but they have for sure had more than that. They get flattened at least every other day if not every day, so it should be much higher than that, and the fact that we had 30 all die out in a 10-ish day period, IDK, it doesnt feel natural, but i cant fathom what it could be. If it were an update, surely all of our other 40+ currently working 3100's would be bricked too etc...

Our Trust has gone the Aruba Route, which is great in performance terms, but in licencing costs for Aruba Central (to meet DfE requirements) its outrageous. £25k over 3 years for our one Secondary School. I wish I had pushed harder for Unifi, but they (the trust) still thought it was consumer level equipment and not ready for large scale usage. I didnt have the energy to push it, but really wish i did in hindsight. The money we could have saved would allow me to do so much good... And with Unifi Hosting of Multi Site deployments, we could manage the whole trust from a webpage!!

Impero / Ativion StudentKeeper Opinions
aydee replied to OLPTech's topic in Network and Classroom Management
hi @rob980, have you got it setup on more than just the ipads at the moment? Our trust is moving over from a hybrid Smoothwall setup so would like to know how it is going to compare in your opinion? keyword lists not being editable seems like a really basic fature that should be avaliable so i am unsure why anyone at StudentKeeper would think its a good idea to get rid of it?
