SAR - .pst to .PDF Conversion

We are carrying out a SAR and have the required.pst files of varying sizes up to 7GB. We have a company to carry out the redaction process. They want the files converted to .pdf to carry out this function. Can anyone recommend a a pst to PDF converter that would convert large files e.g. 7GB

I've used CutePDFWriter to print to PDF from a .pst file.

Seemed to work better than the Microsoft Print to PDF for us

 

Our file was not 7GB in size though, probably about half that.

I use Sperry Software Powerful Outlook Add-ins, Plugins, & Tools by Sperry Software. Its a paid software but it was needed as we were getting so many SARS come into the school. 

 

Once you get your head around it and adjust the settings to suit your needs its does the job of converting to .pdf.

I know SAR's are a massive pain, but surprised there's companies out there that can do the redaction - our external DPO would be pulling their hair out approving that DPIA !

I do this as a service, but it is incredibly controlled. You upload the data to our SaaS tool, it is processed in a contained GCP instance in Belgium using Vertex to run Gemini confined to that data centre with no chance of it ever being used for training data, analysed for PII, then deleted from the GCP instance and data centre with all redaction done purely in the browser. Honestly, every possible control is in place.

I use this to convert PST to PDF https://www.reliefjet.com/Essentials

 

Works well, can split them out into separate folders/files and so on.

Once you've got them as PDFs you can put them through https://acuityautoredact.com to scan and block out personally identifiable information (but allow the words you want to keep). Takes seconds, not weeks!

Do you know if there is a limit on the size of files? The trial states 2 documents allowed int he trial, but doesn't specify and size or page limit. Thanks.

No limit for the first two jobs.

Thunderbird to open the PSTs, ImportExportTools NG extension, export to PDF

No limits.
