Virgin Media - Outage 4/4/23

Anyone else been affected by this?

 

My connection at home has been up and down since 1am, might get 30 minutes online then its off again.

My connection at home was rubbish before I left to come into work. I'm in North Lincs so might be a nationwide issue at the min.

Yep. My home broadband got the same and a few sites within out Trust also reported issues this morning. Last 5-10 mins it's seemingly steadied out but downdetector also had a lot of reported outages overnight

Virgin have just in the last few minutes acknowledged on their social media platforms.

Yep, outage here this morning for a couple of hours or so by the looks. Came back online shortly after 8.

Even cloudflare tracking it as seems it’s hitting o2/virgins own website etc

Been stable now for about 2 hours, had read that it was a routing issue somewhere.

Looks like virgin has been up and down most of the morning.

Mine was too here in Preston, it was a lottery which sites I could access. Seems stable now though.

Yeah started about 1am, was off till about 4am, then on for about an hour then dropped again till about 6am, back for an hour then off till just after 8. Longest its been online since midnight.

 

I'm in North Lincs, touch wood all ok, got some IPVPN circuits they were not affeted purely looked to be internet connectivity that was affected.

They are always so slow to achknowledge issues and doesn't help thier host their own status page so when there is an issue you cannot see details, like most sensible companies you would host that on a different platform.

Been stable for me since about 08:00.

 

Certain websites - youtube and amazon for example were available throughout

We had repeated slowdowns and timeouts this morning. Seems to have been stable since about 12.

Oddly I’ve lost access to our dc / office. But Microsoft services are still working

Yep the two of our schools still with Virgin have just triggered alerts about going offline again. At least it’s half term…

Seems a little patchy at home at the moment. Connections to Digital Ocean keep dropping by the looks of it.

Apparently they lost a load of fibre cards across multiple dc’s

Well, got home and Cadent have cut through the incoming cable. That's not going to help...
