We are looking to move to a digital sign-in system for staff and visitors. Does anyone know of any systems that can integrate with our MIS Arbor for staff, and provide easy access to see who is in/out, what visitors have been in?

An added bonus if visitors can input car reg to help with the car park.

An extra added bonus if it can make use of an access fob (of which we already have - Noralsy fobs to be exact)

Any ideas greatly appreciated.

I highly recommend Sign In App. We moved 3 schools to them from InVentry and SG World. 2 schools using Arbor and 1 using SIMS. Ticks all the boxes for what you're asking for, very reasonably priced and extremely easy to set up! Edited by elsiegee40

We currently use Inventry and have been for about 7 years now.

We're looking to move away from Inventry to Sign In App - I've found Inventry to have become slow, unresponsive and just difficult to work with sometimes.

Their new fire evac app is a mess, with it often crashing and showing incorrect staff and visitor numbers. Also it seems to sign out the user fairly often from the app, prompting them to reenter email and password, which is not ideal when dealing with a fire evac situation.

I've just started a trial with Sign In App and it appears to do everything which Inventry did, but for less cost-wise.

The problem we find with Arbor and Inventry (in addition to the issues you have already identified) is that Inventry polls new data everynight at 10pm, whereas Arbor only makes the new staff member "live" at 12:01 am on the contract start date. So unless we do a manual sync first thing in the morning, the new starter doesn't appear until the day after they start.

I've raised it with Inventry, but nothing on the roadmap to resolve this, and Arbor won't do anything about releasing the data earlier either.

We're long time users of Inventry but are in the process of evaluating alternatives. I've been very impressed with Sign In App, both in terms of performance and price. We have a demo of EntrySign booked in next week so I should be able to make a better comparison then.

I'd recommend Sign Up As Well been using for over 3 years now and it has been amazing, also much cheaper than inventory. Edited by elsiegee40

For those using Sign In App (or interested in doing so) and using Arbor as their MIS, they sent an update yesterday about writeback to Arbor now available for beta testing.

:mod: Not that I am suspicious, but I need to remind members that vendors are not allowed to ask members to recommend their product. Those posting recommendations with a low or zero previous post count are regarded with suspicion Edited by elsiegee40

We've used Entree Visitor Management by Edit Ltd since the start of our academy - as we've expanded into a MAT as we built more schools it's served us well... It's been a little rocky at times however their support team are absolutely brilliant - the best thing is that it's developed internally, so as we've asked for features it's been added - and they've been able to custom write quite a few integrations for us.

Not off the shelf as SignIn app is - but offers lots of opportunities for customisation/integration!

We use Sign In App in a corporate environment and its spot on, app on phone to allow you to sign in too also can do it based on geolocation too but does zap phone battery. I set mine to prompt me to sign in at certain times as well as sign out on the days I am in the office.

Anyone on the beta got any comments on how well it is working? We're interested in sign in app but we'd need it to write back marks to Arbor to commit.

Sign in App here too - very content with it - their small support team are very good compared to the previous system we used from Media Base Direct.

SIA is also cheap and are very happy to recieve recommendations for new features which I LOVE!!
