The problem we find with Arbor and Inventry (in addition to the issues you have already identified) is that Inventry polls new data everynight at 10pm, whereas Arbor only makes the new staff member "live" at 12:01 am on the contract start date. So unless we do a manual sync first thing in the morning, the new starter doesn't appear until the day after they start. I've raised it with Inventry, but nothing on the roadmap to resolve this, and Arbor won't do anything about releasing the data earlier either.

I was having similar issues on Powershell, so swapped to a switch statement.. For example. The default is the catch all that runs if none of the previous lines apply. SWITCH ( $RESULT){ test path c:\1.txt { Do something 1 } test path c:\2.txt { Do something 2 } default { Do something 3 }}

Afternoon. Without knowing server version or anything, i had a similar issue recently and it was due to a windows update. Take a look at what was installed recently, maybe remove them and reboot and see if that fixes the issue.

Watched Bullet Train - I'm sure it says more about me than the film, but aside from the action, etc. it was just funny. Great cast, great acting (mostly) and just an all round good movie. But not for everyone. On the warning screen, some bloody violence was mentioned.... They may have understated the some and bloody aspects!

Backup/Restore Hyper-V Domain Controller
zedster replied to Koldov's topic in Thin Client and Virtual Machines
I'm using the latest version of VEEAM community and am able to backup VM's on a schedule and restore accordingly. However, I've also been pointed at this - which I want to stress I've not used - but looks like it may work if you have a suitable QNAP NAS - Hyper Data Protector | Backup unlimited VMware® and Hyper-V environments for free | QNAP (UK) -

Afternoon We've got an odd issue where signing in to Google calendar works, but only shows the "month" information on the left - the rest of the page is totally white, and the blue strobing loading bar at the top keeps going. It started yesterday afternoon on multiple machines with different gmail.com accounts. Nothing has changed, no updates, etc. have tried in Edge, Chrome, Firefox. In and not in Incognto mode for them all, reset browser, cleared cache, etc. even imaged a new machine and logged in and the same happens. Off site - works fine, so would suggest network related, but firewall hasn't changed and nothing in logs anywhere to indicate the issue. Anybody come across this before and any ideas?

Also worth considering how the staff are going to retrieve prints? All our staff are issued a code that they have to type in on the printer in order to access their own documents. This code is linked via the "Pager" field in AD in our setup - but I think you can use any field that's not used.

Cloud Based Digital Signage - Low Cost or even Free
zedster replied to garethEds's topic in Cloud Services
Morning We use Digital Signage.com FREE Digital Signage for everyone - they have a restricted, free version which you upload via a content creator application to their cloud (limited to how much you can upload on the free version) and then have clients on devices connected to the screens to display. These are available for Windows, Android, Linux. The bit i miss is a decent scheduling facility - but hey, it's free.... Its a quick win to get content onto displays for very little outlay. -
We've been buying these of late - ViewSonic VA2418-SH 24-inch - Amazon have them at £132.69 inc vat at the moment, and this dual arm mount - Duronic Dual Monitor Arm Stand DM252. The staff who have them are very happy with the quality of both aspects (screen and mount).

From personal experience, I worked for a company who purchased a couple of the ultrawide screens, and what the users all said was that they preferred dual screens as it allowed more "snap points" - I know there is additional software that can be installed to overcome this, but it was an issue for the users back then.

I downloaded the education version from here - Download | Minecraft Education Edition and then ran the powershell script to install manually - used a classroom management solution to control all the machines at the same time. It's too large to deploy via GPO (i've found) so better to do it in one hit as an admin account.

We have a Microsoft Form that was created by someone, but we've no idea who - so am unable to access the data being collected. Is there anyway of identifying, via admin center or any way really as to how to find out who created it?

Morning I've got an MSI for the software, but am struggling to get a silent installation - has anyone achieved this for Crumble? Thanks in advance.
