As pyroman said Comfortably Numb by floyd.

But Echoes is quite a nice track...shine on...or if the buggers get mean to me later on in life I'll make em sit through the WHOLE of Atom Heart Mother......

Never really thought about it. Probably something by Savage Garden because that's the only album I've listened to an awful lot.

'Always look on the bright side of life.'

or

Samuel Barber - Adagio for Strings [ for a bit of culture ]

or [ as I am massive Jazz fan ]

Lalo Schifrin - Theme to Dirty Harry. Ignore the pictures, just listen to the wicked drum and bass line - [ used to open up my old jazz club radio show to this every week.... ]

My sister passed away last year after a long illness, so she had time to decide on the music she wanted....probably too much time!!!

First was "Who wants to live forever" - Queen

Next was "The Last Beat of My Heart" - Siouxie and the Banshees

Finally she had "We'll Meet Again" - Vera Lynn

And at the Wake she had "Wish you were here" - Floyd!! And all other music had to be heavy rock / punk / indie. Needless to say she also expected everyone to drink loads and "pogo / mosh" the night away.

Not bad choices for a 32 year old, made us all smile. Although there were some funny looks from the older relatives.

You'll all be planning your what coffins you want next n all.

Mum's made a strange request of a wicker coffin :S

My mum's got hers planned out already she wants a horse drawn carriage with a new orleans jazz band on top :-S told her stop spending the inheritance then, wonder how much that'd actually cost?

Flippin 'eck .... That *Was* my old fella's funeral.

We followed the carriage from the undertakers and stopped at teh start of the road where the church. We met up with the jazz band here and got out to walk behind it for about 300 yards ...

'When The Saints' was playing as we carried him in and ad we carried him out, and they joined us in the Parish Social Centre next to the church for the knees-up afterwards.

They had never played together, had had a drink or two (a touch of the mountain dew courtesy of the old fella) before they met the carriage and a good time was had by all. In fact it was a fantastic funeral that was only missing one person ... a crotchety, old bloke moaning that he should be give the sax as he could do far better ...

Either REM - It's the end of the world

I had said 'Sweetness Follows' by R.E.M., but have changed my mind (am I allowed to do that?), 'Try Not To Breathe' also by R.E.M. is a far better choice...

Besides I don't plan to die! I'm watching those pesky Japanese closely. I reckon they'll find a way of copying my brain patterns into a robot and I'll live forever.

If they haven't got it quite right before the end I'll opt for cryogenics with instructions not to wake me up until my brain can be photocopied into a robot.
