mikeprice Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 Love the colour scheme!! I reckon they spent 30 mins working it out (including time to pour the coffee and work out which biscuit to have) Then went off to the pub to work out how long they should say it took bit like changing the name of the National Lottery to Lotto
stevejp Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 Love the colour scheme!! I reckon they spent 30 mins working it out (including time to pour the coffee and work out which biscuit to have) Then went off to the pub to work out how long they should say it took bit like changing the name of the National Lottery to Lotto 30 minutes...?! Even allowing for coffee and biscuits, they must be experts in procrastination to have taken that long!
DrBeaker Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 This is hilarious. So this is the end result of all that "talent" within BT? So the BT new chief executive, who is paid £1.1m salary as well as an annual bonus of up to 240 per cent of his wage - has signed off on this new logo? "We have to pay the high salaries to get the best talent" strikes again. I swear this needs to be made into a meme. BT names Worldpay chief Philip Jansen as its new group CEO, to replace Gavin Patterson in 2019 | City A.M. - - - Updated - - - 30 minutes...?! Even allowing for coffee and biscuits, they must be experts in procrastination to have taken that long! That's BT to a T isn't? "experts in procrastination" 1
Roberto Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 30 minutes...?! Even allowing for coffee and biscuits, they must be experts in procrastination to have taken that long! That's because in true BT fashion, it took 6 people to do the logo: One to write the letter "B". One to write the letter "T". One to draw the circle. One to schedule the first three to arrive in the wrong order, resulting in ( ) T P being the logo prototype for three quarters of the time spent on the logo, One to copy the results down wrongly and blame the customer. One to find the original customer request, fix it in 5 seconds but refuse to admit any responsibility on BT's part despite all evidence to the contrary. 3
free780 Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 They probably passed the project from team to team and passed the blame.
Popular Post ZeroHour Posted May 17, 2019 Popular Post Posted May 17, 2019 I bet they printed it out on a black and white printer by mistake before handing it over for approval. 5
PotNoodleTech Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 Hilarious!! I don't feel quite so bad about my projects now! 1
mikeprice Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 I bet they printed it out on a black and white printer by mistake before handing it over for approval. I was just thinking that when I saw your post Great minds and all that 1
Andrew_C Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 I could have done that with an etch-a-sketch! And failed to turn up 5 times, late 3, failed to do any work because I didn't have the right pole climbing kit twice.... I'd have only charged 'em £100k too.
jinnantonnixx Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 I like it. The old logo, with the horrible horizontally-stretched letters and the coloured blobs, was just awful, like a bad pastiche. This new one is like a 1950s back-to-basics no-nonsense clean design. It's a bit like a post-office ink stamp.
mikeprice Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 When a previous one came out - a full 'company theme' thingy - I knew a bloke who worked for BT His comment - after many months of corporate discussions and meeting and consultations etc we have a new corporate colur Grey They seem to have previous on this new one
hardtailstar Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 I saw this bit "Telecoms firm has gone through multiple identities since being privatised in 1980s" and thought that it was an old logo but nope.
Danp Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 I fully expect they outsourced that and paid a huge sum of money 1
hardtailstar Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 Tilt your head sideways and look again... Left or right and what degree of tilting? What should we see?
HarryMonkey Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 It reminds me of the old Button A and B (You have to be of a certain age to know what I'm talking about).
mikeprice Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 It reminds me of the old Button A and B (You have to be of a certain age to know what I'm talking about). I remember being taught how to use a payphone with buttons A and B in Cubs I have filed it along with configuration techniques for a load of old computers that didn't survive past 1999
southhamster Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 It reminds me of the old Button A and B (You have to be of a certain age to know what I'm talking about).Yep, me too. Maybe that's where they got the idea?
mikeprice Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 Be fair - same font and everything but they have redesigned the border (to a circle)
36Degrees Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 I fully expect they outsourced that and paid a huge sum of money That's what I thought. I have a couple of friends who are Graphic Designers and I bet they would have loved that contract.
TwistedHelixis Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 I have a couple of friends who are Graphic Designers and I bet they would have loved that contract. My kids would have loved that contract 2
southhamster Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 My kids would have loved that contractBut they'd have been bored after the first minute!
DrBeaker Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 My kids would have loved that contract I'm sure they'd have done a better job of it too!
crc-ict Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 Love the colour scheme!! I reckon they spent 30 mins working it out (including time to pour the coffee and work out which biscuit to have) Then went off to the pub to work out how long they should say it took bit like changing the name of the National Lottery to Lotto Nah! I reckon they all eschewed the coffee, went straight to the pub and left the work experience kid behind to do the logo. He spent 5 minutes on it in Paint, and went back to Facegramchat or Instasnapbook or whatever is popular with the 'youfs' these days!
