Guess it's a sign to move on when the job starts doing this to you?

Anyone else in the same boat?

I feel for you - I get regular migraines and it is not good!

I want to move on - not 'cos my job is rubbish (it's a good school, well regarded IT staff etc), just ready for a change.

@tech_guy - When was the last time you had your eyes tested? And if you wear glasses I'd recommend you visit your optician when you can. It does make all the difference!

Yep, certainly is a Monday here! My colleague as threatened a 'week of Mondays', we've had 'em before - hell!

Example - Teacher calls us to class, projector not working, I pick up remote - Press 'use RGB Source' - walk to laptop - press '[ALT]-[F4]' and walk out the room!

I get migraines - usually when it's sunny. I'm prescribed something called 'Naramig'. They are awesome - failing that there's no solution but a quiet dark room.

I don't get migranes... just extreme bouts of anger where I want to hurt/kill someone.

Same here - but I can blame it on my age:D

Fancy a swap then Jarrod? I'm up for a commute to your school if you want my job.

Oh yes - those have been a life saver for me over the last few years.

I have mine sort of under control now - before that it was regular trips to the hospital for some nice morphine....

Now on beta blockers which have also helped - [ plus knocking my blood pressure down quite a bit ]

NM here is leaving, he's been here for nearly 10 year. quiting to work for HM prison service.

!?! - I know schools are getting rough but surely they're better than working in a prison! Is he changing career totally to become a guard, or is staying in IT - making sure the countries murders and rapists have fully functioning 50mbps broadband piped to their cells?

Maybe the prisoners would be better behaved? Management might not turn round and say you cant punish someone for damaging equipment......

Seriously though i'm sure in prisons they have some sort of network, including CCTV, and he never actually said he was working in a prison, just for the prison service..... :)

I'm considering taking up some form of boxing or kick boxing to let the anger out... also searching for new job!!

I've taken up golf which lets my anger out perfectly. I swear, curse and have on occasion kicked my trolley. (Bearing in mind that if I took up kick boxing at my age I would probably not survive the first session)

The trouble is my anger just isn't work related it's everything - total female Victor Meldrew and proud of it:D

He has a lot of personal reasons to why he is changing jobs which I can't go into. I was shocked when I found out he was leaving IT to work in a prison.

That's why I love kayaking and climbing (although I do both badly). It's just a complete escape, allowing me to forget everything else.
