That's the one. I genuinely never can remember what it stands for, but it's one of those mnemonics (or is it just an acronym?) that seems to be expanded whenever it's used on paperwork anyway, so rather redundant.

Using the back of a (clenched) hand:

 

Each knuckle and knuckle space (no knuckle) corresponds to a month (in calendar order)

 

Knuckle = Month has 31 days.

No knuckle = Month does not have 31 days.

Never Eat Shredded Wheat. For some reason I have to think a bit to work out which was is east and which is west, and that one is what runs through my head. North & south and left & right I have no problems with!
