I enjoyed the Xmas ep, but can understand why a lot of people didn't. Bit too melancholy for most, especially at Christmas. The talk of the soldier being "someone" gave the game away. One question: where did Ben and Polly get to?

Fazza Posted January 16, 2018 Posted January 16, 2018 After watching a couple of episodes with Capaldi as The Doctor I didnt like him so never watched any more episodes... until now that is! After reading and listening to all the Buzz surouding the show now that Jodie Whittaker is taking over the reigns as The Doctor that seems to have reignited my passion for this show, so for the last couple of months I have been watching all of Capaldis episodes on Netflix and when I saw all the ones on there I had to buy the 2 BluRay disks which I completed watching at the weekend! I have now seen the Christmas Special on the BBC iPlayer so I'm now all caught up! I can't wait for the new series to start later on in the year!

If you watch any Doctor's first few episodes it's always strange, as they don't seem right in the role etc, normally by the end of their 1st series its great and then the 2nd series they are fully into the Role. Capaldi was a example of this, his first series was ok but his next two where a lot better!
Fazza Posted January 16, 2018 Posted January 16, 2018 It took me a while to warm to Matt Smith but I really enjoyed his time as The Doctor but even though I've seen all of Capaldi's episodes I still havent warmed to him and the only reason I watched him in it was incase there are some references to it in the new series with Whittaker in it which I'm really looking forward to.
