It's a brave new world for the next generation racing towards being sexually active.

You can now press a button and condoms arrived the next day! I wonder where people stick the button? On the bed? Next to the bed? On the gentlemans sausage area?

Wow!

Isn't that a backwards step? Correct me if I am wrong, but can't one get these immediately from a place called a shop? ;)

I mean some of the Amazon Dash buttons make sense.. But only for big bulk-buys. Cat litter, teabags, laundry detergent, maybe you can get away with it for loo rolls.

Condoms? Bit silly, really.

So if your kid gets hold of it and constantly presses it... do you get multiple orders?

Oh damn I leant on it...what does this do... dont press the button, but I pressed it.

They thought of that;

Order protection. Ensures Dash Button responds only to your first press until your order is delivered.

Peace of mind. You will receive an order notification for every order placed, allowing you to cancel the order before it delivers.

I believe you only get 1 of said item if memory serves. There must be a timeout for that though.

You get them before - "Something for the weekend, Sir?"

Maybe back in the 50s!

Besides, I thought young gentlemen these days spend as much time in hair salons as young ladies? The old boy who cuts my hair seems to be the last of a literally dying breed. When he goes, it will just be the Turkish barbers that seem to be currently springing up.

Some of the Q&A questions are great!

Where would one stick this Dash Button?

Answer: Inside an empty iPhone 4S case, never to be seen by anyone because you bought it when you were drunk.

On the Dashboard of the car or in the girlfriends handbag where the Mrs won't find it.

On a more serious note, anyone use one of these? A do you think you could buy them blank. I'm starting a little internal messaging system for when a child in crisis and the teacher needs assistance with a message that pops up on a little screen in the corner of the classroom for each class on the floor/phase. They would alert by pressing a button like this or I was looking at a RPi? We currently have a blue cloud card which a pupil would take to another classroom to alert the teacher.

I bought a few of these recently when they were on offer for 99p, main reason being is you get £4.99 off your first order with them so I was effectively saving £4 per button order. I don't plan on using them for their intended purpose again. Although I haven't spent too much time on this, have a look online as a number of people have posted 'hacks' allowing them to use these buttons for other tasks. I am hoping to do something geeky with them, but not sure yet.
